stating the present price of tryers
was 38 cents per pound and an
increase in price was imminent.
Catalog space was purchased
and a $5,00 donation made to the
Ontario Council of Rabbit Clubs'
show to be held in Fruitland on
Sept, 28,
Also a donation of $15 was made
to Bunny Bundle on behalf of the
Club.
Election officers saw David
Stanley and Wm, Dickey of
Woodharn returned to office as
president and vice-president
respectively, Janet Hurley of St,
Marys is the new Club Secretary
and Librarian, Joyce Dickey was
elected as Treasurer and Kay
Murray as Press Reporter,
The Organizational meeting of
the 441 Rabbit Club sponsored by
theSouth Huron Rabbit Breeders
is to be held on March 18 at the
South Huron District High School
in Exeter at 2:00 p.m. and all
prospective members between 12
and 20 years are welcome.
Tickets for the annual Club
dinner dance planned for April 8
are now available from Club
members.
The name of R. Brand was
drawn on the accumulated prize
but as he was absent, the prize is
held for' another month.
Auctioneer for the Dutch Auction
was David Stanley and winner of
the prize was Angus Murray,
The next meeting will be held on
April 12.
Obituaries
AMBROSE PETE MAGUIRE
A former Clinton resident.
Ambrose Pete Maguire died on
March 1, 1972 at his home in
Clearwater, Florida.
Mr. Maguire was a former
engineer 'with the Canadian
National Railway before his
retirement.
Left to mourn his passing are
his wife, Anna, sister Jessie of
Fort Myers, Florida and brothers
Hugh of Etobicoke and Ted
Pattison of Bancroft.

Funeral service was held for
the late George Millian, who
passedawayin the Clinton Public
Hospital March 1 after' a lengthy
illness.
He was the son of Susanna
Currie and Andrew Millian, and a
life-long resident of Colborne
Township until his retirement to
Auburn.
Mr. Millian is survived by his
wife the former Florence
Mcphee; daughters, Mrs, Douglas
(Minnie) McNeil, Mrs. Jack
(Mildred) Gardner, Mrs. Frank
(Evelyn) Treble, Mrs. Charles
(Maitie) Mitchell, Mrs, Charles
(Colleen) McGee, Mrs. Carl
(Ruth) Thomson. One son,
Charles, predeceased him in
1963. There are also 18
grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral service was held in
Knox United Church, Auburn, on
Saturday. March 4, where lie had
been an elder and member of the
choir for many years, Pastor
Alfred Fry was assisted in the
service by Maurice Bean, Clerk
of Session.
The members of Knox Session
were honorary pallbearers and
formed a guard of honor outside of
church. The active pallbearers
were grandsons. Roger Mitchell,
Wayne Millian, Paul Gardner,
Rob Gardner., Gerald Treble and
Barry Millian, Flowernearers
,weregrandsons:,Larry

Cla'relvlillian and Bill Wiliam
The burial took place in
Colborne Cemetery. The Arthur
Funeral Home, Auburn, were in
charge of arrangements.
Among those attending from a
distance was John R, Millian of
Washington, D.C., grandson of the
late Dr. John C. Millian, who was
a brother of the deceased.
GEORGE MILLIAN Palo Alto Hospital, California,
following an eight week illness,
He was 64.
The son of the late Mr. and Mrs,
George Grainger, he was born in
Alvinston June 19, 1908. He
attended schobl in Stanley
Township and was a graduate of
Seaforth District High School and
of McMaster University. He
taught secondary school in
Alvinston, Watford and
WallaCeburg before his death.
He was a member of the United
Church of Canada.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Margaret Donnelly whom
he married in Toronto; two
daughters, Mrs. Jack (Nancy)
Ryan, London and Mrs. Don
(Barbara) Youngburn, California;
one son, Robert Grainger,
Waterloo; four grandchildren;
two sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Marie)
Hamilton, Exeter and Mrs.
Marguerite Johnson, Portland,
Oregon; and two brothers, Russel
Grainger, Zurich and Murray
Grainger, Goderich.
Funeral service was March 9 at
Vv'allaceburg. Interment was in
the cemetery at Alvinston.
