The Mustangs lost a
frustrating game against
Tavistock before a good-sized
home crawd on Friday night.
A lack-lustre first period
proved their downfall. Tavistock
scored two quick goals at the
end of the period to go ahead
3-1.
Bill Crawford opened the
game's scoring at 8:52 on a set
up from Paul Johnson and Cal
Fremlin. Defenceman Jim
Cameron scored the only goal in
the second, one of two he scored
in the game.
Tavistock made the score 4-2
before Wayne McDougall
threaded a neat shot at 11:09.
Tavistock's goalie Bill Gladding
had a hot night as he kicked out
48 shots in the first two periods
to kill Clinton's chances of
retaining, first place in the
league.
With two and a half minutes
left and the game tied 4-4
Cameron picked up a roughing
penalty and shortly afterward
Tavistock scored on the power
play.
Then Tavistock picked up a

tried a six-against-four attack
but it backfired when Len Roper
shot the puck the length of the
ice and into the net.
