Brussels Atoms place second in Clifford tournamentThe Brussels Atoms went to theClifford tournament last weekend,finishing in second place.The team played well in all three games. The first game was againstRipley. It was a back-and-forth gameand Brussels came out on top with a2-0 win.In the second game, the teamplayed Wingham and it was anotherbattle ending in a 4-3 win.The last game was against
Flesherton and the boys started to
run out of steam and were unable to
get a point, with the game ending
with a score of 5-0 in favour of
Flesherton. Goals were scored by NoahTerpstra, Jack Pipe, Jacob Roth andNolan Johnson with assists by Jarron
Thompson, Nick McArter, Brent
Alexander, Chris Hruska and Teddy
Jacklin.
The defense also played well,
including Hudson Smith, RonanJarrad, Brett Stevenson and AveryMcArter. Goaltending was also solid by
McArter and Thompson.
The team will be participating in
the Silver Stick tournament this
week.

The Brussels Bantam Rep Bulls
played four games over the last
week. They racked up two wins, a
tie and a loss. In regular season, this
boasts the team a record of 7-1-1-,
placing them third in their WOAA
pool. They won 7-4 in Mildmay,
then slammed in a win against
Drayton, 12-2 on home ice.
Their 2-2 tie was Friday night in
Zurich.
Unfortunately, the boys ran out of
steam on Sunday, losing in Blyth.
Solid in net were both Austin
Jamieson-Johnston and Matt
McNichol.
