We are sure that anyone who met Grandma has a story on how she touched their lives. Grandma was a very cheerful woman. She had a laugh that was contagious. Anytime who went to visit Grandma she was always the same, just plain happy to see you. She was always grateful for the many wonderful friends, neighbours and family that embraced her. Not only was Grandma a joy to be around she will always be remembered for her magical green thumb and delicious baking skills. There are many memories of Grandma that we will all cherish. Even though Grandma grew up in the city, she adapted quite well to a country lifestyle. She was a proud farm wife. After 49 years of Grandma perfecting her skills as a farmer, she finally convinced Grandpa to move to the big city of Listowel. Grandma, we will miss your kind nature, angelic smile, warm heart and loving hugs. We miss you already but we will always find you smiling in the beautiful morning sunrise. If grandmothers were flowers, Grandma, we would have picked you first. We thank everyone who was a part of her life. – Lovingly remembered by Joe Smith and family. 42-1 THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2010.
