The family of the late Karen Cardiff wishes to extend their thanks to all the citizens of Brussels for any and all help given to our mother in the later years of her life. Our mother’s health issues were numerous and well known. In recent years this has meant many trips to the doctor, various specialists, x-rays, CT scans and MRIs as well as regular trips to emergency for various issues. Most of those trips this meant someone had to drive her there. It is pretty clear that without the assistance of people in this village, too numerous to mention, that our mother and by extension we, could not have coped. It also allowed our mother to stay in the family home longer than would have been possible otherwise. I think Brussels should be proud to be inhabited by people who are willing to devote so much of their personal time to help others in need. We wish to extend our deep and sincere thank you to all of those individuals. You have our deepest respect. 39-1 -------------------------------------------- HALLAHAN. The family of Mary Ellen Hallahan would like to thank our dear family and friends for their expressions of sympathy. Thanks to Fr. Murray Farwell, Deacon Gary Pardo and Fr. Chris who celebrated the mass in honour of Mary Ellen's life. Thank you to the organist and choir. The guidance given by the Tiffin Funeral Home was appreciated. Thanks to the Seaforth Legion Ladies Auxiliary – the lunch was great. Special thanks to the staff of the Seaforth hospital for their care and compassion. Thanks to Dr. Datema and Dr. Percival for their care. Also thanks to the good friends and family and the Huron Hospice volunteers who sat with Mary Ellen at the hospital. Thanks to all who attended the visitation and funeral and for sharing your memories with us. Mary Ellen touched many lives and will not be forgotten. Everyone’s love and support helped us through this difficult time and was greatly appreciated. – Betty, Mike and Agnes, Jim and Lorraine and families. 39-1 LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO babysit two children, preferably in my home in Brussels area.
