PLAN NUMBER 1-2-576 CHARMING RANCHER
This charming rancher is much roomier than it appears from the outside. With almost 1,500 square feet of living space, the home
features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as an expansive open-plan living area.
With a view to the rear, this would be just the home for the retired couple who would like to live next to a golf course.
The raised entrance leads into a compact foyer with an immediate view of the great room. The sloping ceiling here adds to the
feeling of space, and the centrally placed gas fireplace ensures a cosy focus for the cooler months.
The kitchen includes a walk-in pantry, plus a work island with a raised eating bar–just the place for a quick breakfast before
heading out to the golf course or a walk.
The dining area contains plenty of space for entertaining family and friends in comfort.
The covered deck is designed for easy access, with doors from both the dining area and the master suite.
A four-piece en suite bathroom, good-sized walk-in closet and towel cupboard are neatly located behind the master bedroom.
The second bedroom has a view to the front and overlooks an attractive planter beneath the window.
The double garage provides access to the house through the laundry room, which has a coat cupboard and will do double duty
as a mudroom.
The home measures 42 feet wide and 58 feet deep, with 1,479 square feet of living space plus an unfinished basement.
Plans for design 1-2-576 are available for $552 (set of 5), $621 (set of 8) and $660 for a super set of 10. Also add $30.00 for
Priority charges within B.C. or $50.00 outside of B.C. Please add 12% H.S.T., 13% H.S.T. Or 5% G.S.T (where applicable) to
both the plan price and Priority charges.
Our 42ND Edition of the Home Plan Catalogue containing over 300 plans is available for $13.50 (includes taxes, postage and
handling). Make all cheques and money orders payable to "Home Plan of the Week" and mail to:

Seaforth Food Bank to collect at Foodland Oct 1-3Continued from page 10the occasion of her 80th birthday. Many of the family were able toattend along with a few closefriends. They had a great afternoontogether. George and Fannie havefive children, Rick, Randy, Ross,
Roger and Janice. Congrats to
Fannie.
Thanksgiving is just around the
corner and for many, we have plenty
to be thankful for. Unfortunately,
there are many out there who
struggle everyday to feed their
families. The many local food banks
will be having food drives within the
next couple of weeks including the
Seaforth Food Bank. They will be
collecting canned goods and cash
donations at the Seaforth Foodland
this weekend, Oct. 1,2,3. Weather
permitting they will also host a
barbecue on Saturday. So when
doing your Thanksgiving shopping,
pick up a few extra groceries to help
out the food bank. The Walton UCW meeting will beheld on Wednesday, Oct. 6 andeveryone will want to attend. Thespecial guest is Inga Marshall, theperennial flower expert fromGreyhaven Gardens in
Londesborough. I have been told she
is fantastic and imparts many useful
hints for looking after your
perennials. Come out and enjoy the
evening at 7:30 p.m. and bring a
friend along.
Returning from a fantastic trip to
the east coast are Lily Fincham and
her daughter Valerie Grotto. They
flew to Charlottetown, P.E.I. and
rented a car to explore the island
with. The car rental company even
upgraded the car to a Lincoln and the
ladies were very pleased to be riding
in such luxury. Lily reports that they
covered the east, west, north and
south sides of the island and saw
every lighthouse and wharf on the
water. They had a little rain everyday, and some very windy days aswell. They stayed at a lovely bed andbreakfast for a few days and then ata quaint little cottage central fortheir travels. They went to the village of
Avonlea and had a great time touring
the old homes of the past. At one of
the homes, was a huge wood/coal
stove with the old boiler used for
heating water. Lily recalls her
mother having the very same one,
when Lily was a girl. The pair of
ladies enjoyed tasting the many
delicacies of the ocean including
lobster, mussels, scallops and
salmon stuffed with lobster. It makes
a person hungry thinking about the
delicious fare. The pair returned
tired after their 10-day excursion but
fully satisfied in seeing the beautiful
Province of Prince Edward Island.
The fall harvest is progressing
nicely and before you know it, the
Optimist Harvest stag will be held. Alocal Relay for Life team felt that theladies should have something specialtoo so while the men are away, theladies will sway. A Vintage Fashionshow is being planned for thatevening with many local ladies like
Cathy Stephenson, Shirley Baker
and others from the Ethel area
modelling the fashions of days gone
by. While the men will be eating
steak for their dinner, the ladies will
also enjoy a catered meal fit for a
queen. Watch for further details and
book the babysitter now for a great
night out in November.
