The Reunion does it again!
This year’s Reunion of the Huron Pioneer Thresher and
Hobby Association was one for the ages, with numbers up
across the board in aspects like camping, attendance and
many other things. It may have been because there was no
shortage of attractions, beginning with a Birds of Flight
demonstration with Wingham’s Mike Clarke (above); the
stepdancing competition, featuring Kate Perodes of
Milverton who was one of the younger contestants in this
year’s stepdancing competition, competing in the eight-
and-under class (above left); clowns for the younger
attendees who were painting faces and more as Amy
Badley demonstrates, stepping up and getting a design
painted on her leg on Saturday (left); the fiddling
competition, which is always a large draw, being a highly-
regarded fiddling competition in Ontario (lower left); the
threshing demonstration, which has long been the
cornerstone of the first weekend after Labour Day in Blyth
now for 49 years (below) and the guide dog demonstration
which thrilled audiences of adults and students alike on
Friday (right). (Jim Brown and Denny Scott photos)
