PAGE 15.AgricultureBrussels Livestock reportCalves and yearlings sell steady at sale Total receipts for Brussels Livestock for the week ending April 15 were 2,935 cattle, 690 lambs and goats. On Tuesday fed steers and heifers sold $1 to $2 higher. Choice steers and heifers sold $91 to $93 with sales to $97. Second cut sold $89 to $91. Cows sold steady. On Thursday veal sold on a strong active trade. Lambs, sheep and goats all sold on a strong active trade. On Friday calves and yearlings sold on a steady market. There were 270 steers on offer. Henry Kanters of Elmwood, consigned four steers averaging 1,378 lbs. selling for an average of $93.12 with one blue steer weighing 1,405 lbs. selling to Norwich Packers for $95.75.
