Hospital surrounded by his loving

Wingham Station
Interested in helping your community? Looking to participate with a
team of professionals who are dedicated to saving the lives and
properties of their neighbours?
The Fire Department of North Huron is seeking candidates interested
in serving as Volunteer Firefighters in our community. We currently
have openings at our Wingham Station.
As a volunteer firefighter you will:
• Operate in a team environment under the direction of
supervisory staff.
• Work in accordance with established policies, operational
guidelines, Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Responds to emergencies, 24/7
• Carry out supportive roles at an emergency as directed by
supervisory staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Education Required:
• Be a resident of the community within 8km of the fire station.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Minimum of a Grade Twelve (12) Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to engage in work activities that are physical in nature.
• Ability to attend required training.
• First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset.
• Previous related experience and/or training is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
at all times.
• Ability to exercise discretion and tact.
• Possess a valid Class G licence for the Province of Ontario
and have 24-hour transportation available.
• Able to present a clean Police Record Check with application.
