CONSTABLE VU PHAM
Constable Vu Pham of Wingham
died at London Health Sciences
Centre on Monday, March 8, 2010.
Formerly of Cochrane and Parry
Sound, he was 37 years old. He was
the beloved husband of Heather
(Weber) Pham, and loving father of
Tyler, Jordan and Joshua, all at
home. He was the dear son of Men
Nguyen of California, and Canadian
parents Dan and Terry Thompson of
Spring Bay. He was the son-in-law
of Roger and Mary Anne Weber of
Hanover.
He was the brother of Huy and
Julie Pham of California, Michael
and Heather Thompson of
Sundridge, Christina and Troy
Hurrell of Trout Creek and Bryan
and Jenn Thompson of Sundridge.
He was the brother-in-law of
Rebecca and Jon Stein of Teeswater,Timothy and Kristen Weber ofWalkerton and Luke and Hannah
Weber of Tara.
He is lovingly remembered by his
grandparents Tin Thi Pham of
California, Ida Thompson of
Tillsonburg, Lois Cumper of
Atlanta, MI, Ruth Hammond of
Hanover, Leslie and Dorothy Weber
of Mildmay and Ruth Schwindt of
Elmira. He was the dearly loved
uncle of several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father
Quang Pham in Vietnam.
Visitation at McBurney Funeral
Home, Wingham was on Thursday,
2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
An Ontario Provincial Police
funeral was held at North Huron
Wescast Community Complex on
Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim
Bjorkman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial

of Constable Pham’s children would
be appreciated as expressions of
sympathy and may be placed at any

Dorothy Margaret (Dietrich)
Helmka of Listowel died at Stratford
General Hospital on Friday, March
12, 2010 in her 66th year.
Dorothy was the loving wife of
Donald Helmka for 47 years andmother of Nancy and Paul Doneganof RR1, Listowel and Denise and
Ken Purvis of Ethel. She was the
adored grandmother of Samantha
and Cullen Donegan and Nick and
Ainsley Purvis.
She was the sister of Wayne
Dietrich and Barb Grigat of
Milverton, Marlene White and
Lorne Hagerman of Kitchener, Clare
and Joan Dietrich of Moorefield,
Bud and Diane Dietrich of
Petersburg, Linda and Doug
Mayberry of Kitchener and Sharon
and Paul Lynch, and Larry and
Susan Dietrich, all of Listowel. She
was the sister-in-law of Gail
Helmka, Robert and Dianne Ralston
and Joan Martin. She will also be
remembered by her many aunts,
uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her
parents Margaret and Edwin
Dietrich, parents-in-law Marie and
William Helmka and brother-in-law
Charles Helmka.
Visitation was held at the Eaton
Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday,
March 15 from 2 - 5 p.m. where the
funeral service was held on Tuesday,
March 16 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ralph
Dwarika officiated. Interment was in
Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to a charity of

District Hospital on Saturday, March13, 2010. He was 79. He was the beloved husband of

of Clinton; Donelda and Mike
Eisenhofer of Kitchener; Donna of
Wingham; Jack of Vancouver;
Debbie and Wayne Lints of
Listowel; and Robert and Sue of
Wingham.
He was the brother of Gladys
Wylds,Alvin, Elmer, Lloyd, George,
Archie and Kevin Lamont, Betty
Jean McDonald and Jenny
McDonald. He is lovingly
remembered by 13 grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents
Colin and Lilly (Haines) Lamont,
his brothers Doug, Leonard,
Norman and Colin Lamont and by
his sister Evelyn Fox.
Visitation was at McBurneyFuneral Home, Wingham onTuesday, March 16 from 2 - 4 and 7
- 9 p.m. The funeral service was held
at the funeral home chapel on
Wednesday, March 17 at 11 a.m.
Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiated.
Interment was in Wingham
Cemetery.
