Monday, December 21 the
Guides held their Christmas
party, lveryone brought a gift
to exchange and placed them
under the tree.
We had games, skits and sang
avistmp carols, After we had
refreshments Santa handed out
the gifts. We closed our ineeting„,-/
by, wishing everyone a Merry
Christmas,

Fourteen members of the SS
No. 4 Community Club and one
visitor gathered at the home of
Marlene Forbes for the
December meeting. Court whist
was played with Alison Lobb
and Edna Oakes high winners.
Harriet Klazinga and Margaret
Farquhar were low whiners.
President Phyllis Thompson
opened the meeting with the
Creed and Lord's Prayer.
Secretary Marilyn Forbes read
the minutes of the November
meeting and Verna Lobb gave
the treasurer's report-. Roll call
was answered with"What is
Your favourite Christmas
Carol?"
The slate of officers for 1971
and 1972 was read and accepted
by the members. The president
will be Harriet Tyndall,
Secretary Alison Lobb and
treasurer, Millie Lobb
It was decided to hold a
skating party on December 29
from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the
Clinton Community Centre. The
Summerhill Club was invited to
join in the fun.
The January meeting will be
held at the home of Grace
Forbes on January 6. Roll call
will be your membership fee.
The meeting closed with the
benediction. A pot luck lunch
was then enjoyed by all.

The Christmas meeting of the
Morning Glories was held at the
borne of Peggy Menzies.
The meeting was opened by
Peggy who read a Christmas
verse and this was followed by
the singing of "0 Come All Ye
Faithful." Sandra Mason and
Joann Walker were in charge of
the devotional period. A reading
called "Mothers and Daughters"
was given by Sandra, and Joann
gave a reading called "A Gift of
Caring." Sandra led in prayer,

meeting, lunch was served by the
hostess who also led us in two
lively contests. Winners were
Aileen Craig and Joann Walker.
A "fun" gift exchange among
the ladies and their children
took place providing fun for all.
The ladies thanked Peggy for the
use of her home and the lovely
lunch. The meeting closed with
the Mizpah Benediction,
Christmas has arrived!
A time for gaily-wrapped
goodies, yes, but also the
time to count our each and
every blessing.. and
to soy thanks to our valued
customer. We greatly
appreciate your generous
consideration. May
