BOB AND IVY IRWIN EDITH REID, FLORENCE MILLER vrganiziug Dec. 30 The Huron County 4-H Sheep Club will be organizing for the new year on Wednesday, December 30, at 1:30 p.m. in the Agricultural Office Board Room, Clinton. This year's club had a very successful year with 100 percent of its members completing at the Clinton Spring Fair in June. At their meetings the members studied feeds and feeding and 'judging, with the majority of the members actually taking part in the teaching process themselves. For the new year, twilight meetings and regular discussion meetings' have been planned. Field trips can also be organized if enough interest is shown. It is hoped that as many young people as possible between the ages of 12 and 20 can take part in this club to learn of the sheep industry in Canada. The organizational date again — Wednesday, December 30, in the Agricultural Office Board Room. ...and act it! He didn't hand out many presents to the Clinton team though as they went down to a 5-3 defeat to the first-place Hawks. A Christmas Cantata "The ivnraele of Love" was. presented by the combined choirs of Varna and. Goshen. Twenty-seven voices, with Mrs. Bruce Keys at the organ- The Explorer Group met on Tuesday evening with Miss Cathy Taylor presiding. Scripture lesson was read by Miss Sylvia Wilson with prayer by Miss Janis Chuter. Minutes were read and the roll call was answered 'by .naming a symbol of Christmas. The offering was taken up by Miss Beverly Cantelon and dedicated by Miss Anne Marie Heard. Janis Chuter read the treasurer's report. The study book was led by Miss Beverly Cantelon, The craft period was taken by Mrs. Eric Chuter. The president closed the meeting with the Explorers' Prayer. Mr. and Mrs. George Beatty and family of Willowdale spent the weekend in the village. The magic hour comes info all hearts and homes with an exciting ring of cheer. Many thanks! The Honourable Charles MacNaughton announced today that arrangements are being completed for the provision of flying services at Centralia Industrial Park. A new firm, to be incorporated by flistrict businessmen under Hurbn Air Parks Limited, will provide radio and weather reporting services, commercial air transpOrtation, flying instruction, and aircraft sales and servicing out of a new hangar to be erected on the former air force base. The Ontario Development Corporation will provide a 12,540 sq. ft, hangar, for which tenders will be called in the near 'future. The facilities will include an office, air-conditioned lounge area, classroom, storage and repair facilities for aircraft. MacNaughton, who is MPP for Huron, said the new service Fwill complete the "fly-in" • concept for Centralia Industrial Park. "I am pleased that these ,l additional facilities, which will Provide airport services for the -South Huron and North radlesex,,, area,, '.tare -',{,;being ovided in collaboration , with a girburP, of district citizens. This concept; reinforces our „partnership philosophy in the ,development of the industrial park." Huron Air Parks Limited will `lease the facilities for 10 years, with option to renew. Sub-leases will be arranged for the :provision of certified airframe and radio servicing. Principals in the firm are H. L. Snider, Exeter, a former reeve of the town, and G. Robert Glatt, London, a London developer. Both men, along with John Hopkinson, formerly of Sky Harbour Airport, Goderich, will operate Blendcraft Aviation Ltd., which will sell new and used aircraft. Huron Air Parks will apply for a Class B aircraft taxi and charter licence from the federal department of transport. The combined services will provide overnight storage and refueling for visiting aircraft, minor airframe and engine repairs and maintenance, unicorn communications and weather reporting; classroom facilities (including full instrument simulator) for instruction on twin-engine aircraft and flight instruments. Six highly-skilled persons will be employed when the service opens, with anticipated expansion to 10 employees ' within the first year. J.W.
