The biggest rematch of the
junior hockey Season will take
Place in Clinton Community
on Sunday night when
the Exeter Hawks, leaders in the
OffA Western 4ualar D league
come to • town to play the
Clinton Juniors.'
The Hawks have a wide lead
in the league with 14 points.
Until last weekend when they
were upset 5.3 by Mitchell
Hawks, they had been beaten
only once, an exciting one-goal
win by Clinton Juniors here on
November 15-
The Hawks have compiled a
14 win, two loss and two tie
record, well ahead of second
place Lambeth and Lucan, who
beat Clinton in a
carne..-frOnt-laehind win here laSt
Friday,
Although Clinton was tied for
fifth place in the last standings
available, the team is still in
good pnsition to gain a playoff
berth if they start winning
regularly. One good sign. was two
wins on the road in the past two
weeks oNer, Hensel' and Lueap,
something they hadn't
accomplished before this year.
They are only six points behind
second place Lambeth,
The use of Bill Stirling on a
line with Stu Mustard seems to
have given the team more
scaring Punch,
Before their rematch with the
Hawks however this weekend
the--Juniors have the chance to
pick up some valuable point
When they take en last' place
Hensall-Zurich Co-ops on PririaY
night at the arena,
The Junior$ have not
distinguished theinselves , this
year against the' poorer teams in
the league se far and seem to
come pp with their big garnes
against top teams like Exeter
and Lambeth. Their
performance against the weaker
teams could well decide their
final standing.
Three of the league's top
_scorers will come to town on the
weekend. John McKinley of the
Hensall-Zurich team will lead his
team into town on Friday night.
Excluding last week's games,
McKinley had 12 goals and 15
assists for 37 points.
Larry Haugh, runaway leader

double for 337.
Lucky Strikes continue to
lead the league with 48 points.
Pinrollers have 374 Dare Devils,
33, and Tigers 26.
BAY Fl ELD—BLUEWATER
The Suckers hold a slim lead
over Sharks in this league.
Suckers have 50 points, Sharks,
48, Crabs, 45 and Minnows 35.

points, 12 ahead, of teammate
Peter Glover who holds down
second place and Jed in goal

lead the league's goal tenders,
llayter held a 2.30 goals-against
average and Ferguson a 2.75
average. Clinton's Dennis.
Fleischauer held seventh place
with 435.
Wins in the two weekend
games would put Clinton in
good position for a run' at
second place. Losses would leave
them in danger of dropping well
back in the standings.
TUCKERSMITH MIXED
Betty Graham topped both
the women and the men in
scoring this week with a 305
