The fire began at the rear of the building and the flames, fanned
by winds gusting over 50 miles per hour, quickly burned out the
back of the building.
CLINTON, ONTARIO THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25; 1970
Firemen from Brucefield, Seaforth and Clinton rushed to the fire
but were helpless to prevent the fire from destroying the building.
They concentrated their efforts instead on saving neaby buildings.
Water was supplied from tanker trucks of the Clinton and
Brucefield department,
