the fire hall on October 8, under the direction of their teacher Mrs. Mary Smith (far right) and
helper Laurie Mosco (rear). Students visable are (from left), Una Doherty, Sandy Shanahan, Gerda
Brand (back to camera), Cheryl Armstrong and helper Gail Lecroix. Helper Laurie Mosco and Suzanne Smith sample the rear seat of the new fire engine for comfort.
Water puts out fire but it also quenches a thirst and after
touring the fire hall every one of the young students from St.
Joseph's Roman Catholic School all developed a terrible thirst.
So they all stopped for a drink, or maybe two,•at the fountain
in the park. Rodney Merner sips the cool water while Jeannie
Brand impatiently waits her turn.
