Former Little Inn owner dies in Seaforth

Leslie Elliott, John Hammond,
Joseph Mayman, Hales Dresser
renamed it the Little Inn.
Because of Mrs. Little's health,
they sold the Inn sometime ago,
and bought a house on Louisa
Street where Mrs. Little resided
until her death. Her husband
predeceased her in 1965.
Although she was not able to
go out much, Mrs. Little had a
wide circle of friends and
beloved of all that knew her.
She is survived by one nephew
and three neices: William
Johnston, Bobcaygeon; Mrs. Les
(Arlene) Denomme, London;
Mrs. Carman (Doris) Vint,
Windsor; and Mrs. Barry
(Barbara) Grist, Elmsdale, Nova
Scotia.
Funeral services were held
Friday from the McCallum
and R. H. McCabe.
Attending the funeral from a
distance were Mrs. S. Strachan,
Windsor and daughter; William
McDuff, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs.
Les Denomme, London; Mr. and
Mrs. Carmen Vint, Windsor; Mrs.
A. Sparks, Detroit and Dr.
Murray Hoover, London.
MRS. GEORGE LITTLE
Mrs. George (Adria) Little of
Bayfield, died in Seaforth
Hospital on October 13, 1970.
She was 73 years of age.
She was born Adria Johnston
in Goderich and married. GeOrge
Little of Bayfield.

resided in Detroit and Windsor
for some time where Mr. Little
was a barber. They moved to
Bayfield in the 1930's and lived
in the residence that is now the
Baptist parsonage.
They purchased the former
Commercial Hotel which had
been renamed the Lakeview
Hotel by Mrs. Seeds. The couple

Douglas McDougall dies at 79
Douglas McDougall, Victoria
St., Clinton, died October 13,
Mlle Hospital.
Born in July 1891 in
Goderich Township, the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart McDougall.
He married Leila Curry in 1925.
She survives him.
During his life he was a
blacksmith and farmer. He lived
in Goderich and Goderich
Township before coming to
Clinton four years ago.
He is survived' by four
daughters: Mrs. Arthur (Helen)
Johnston, Scarborough; Mrs.
Arthur (Phylis) Rodges,.
Colorado Springs, Colorado;
Mrs. William (Mildred)
Bruinsma, Scarborough; and
Mrs. Charles (Mary) Wain, RR 2,
Bayfield.

was broken into and money
stolen from a soft drink
machine. Most of the $400
damage resulted when classroom
doors were forced open.
Since mid-September,
break-ins have occurred at
Usborne Central, Holmesville
Public and Hullett Central,
schools in the Clinton area.
As a result, the Huron County
board of education has
instructed director of education
D. J. Cochrane to recommend a
maximum. amount of cash
priocipals may keep in their
schools.
Burglars have been going to
school at night recently in the
Clinton area.
Early last Thursday they
entered the cafeteria at Central
Huron Secondary School and
made off with about $200.
They entered the school by
climbing over the school roof
and into the courtyard, then
entering through an unlocked
door. The cash drawer in the
cafeteria was pried open and the
money taken.

Harold King, Ross Sowerby,
Norman Fuller and Ban Whitely.

Wain, William Bruinsma and
Arthur Johnson.
