After the ceremony, a buffet .

wore a pink headress of silk

white pearls on the front and

The bride is the daughter of
, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Steep of
Clinton and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hayter,
Rai, Varna.
The double-ring ceremony
was performed by the Rev. R. U.
MaCLean and Mrs. Robert
Homuth, soloist, sang "At
Dawning", "The Lord's Prayer"
and "The Wedding Song". Mrs.
Bert Boyes was the organist.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was charming in
a floorlength A-line gown of
lagoda. It had a scoop neckline,
long sleeves of lace and the
fitted bodice had appliques of
lace with rhinestones and pearl
beading. The detachable train of
the gown, which was fastened at
the waistline with a self bow,
was full and flowing. It alSo had
lace appliques scattered Over it.
Her elbow-length veil was held in
place by a pretty bow with tiny
flowers and rhinestones. She
carried a bouquet of yellow
miniature carnations with one
large mauve orchid.
Miss Colleen Bell of RR 1,
Blyth was her friend's maid of
honour and the bridesmaids
were her cousin Miss Faye
Farquhar, RR 1, Clinton, and
Miss' Anne Hayter, RR' 1, Varna,
sister of the groom. Their
floorlength gowns were ' of
sleeveless dress of mint green
crepe with a soft cowl neckline
and princess lines accented by
pearl beading. She wore mint
green accessories and a corsage
of pink roses. She was assisted
:by the groom's mother who
chose a yellow and white
sleeveless knit two piece
ensemble. She wore yellow and
white accessories and a corsage
of tawny roses.
A reception was held in the
Zurich Community Centre later
in the evening at which the
young couple was presented
with a gift of money.
For their wedding trip to
Washington, D.C. and Cape Cod,
the new bride chose a pink crepe
pant outfit trimmed with rose
beads 'around the empire waist.
Her accessories were tiny pink
roses' in her hair and white "wet
look" shoes and purse, and a
corsage of pink roses. The young
couple will reside in London
:Where- they are 'both employed.
Prior to her wedding the

when Margje Koopmans of
Werner Lake exchanged wedding
vows with Austin Edward Fults,
also of Werner Lake.
The bride is the eldest
daughter tof Mr, and Mrs. Ruurd
Koopmans, RR 2, Auburn and
the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edwar Fults of Werner
Lake.
Dr. A. J. Mowatt of Clinton
and Pastor Alfred Fry officiated
for the double-ring ceremony.
The organist was Mrs. Norman
Wightman and she accompanied
George Cull of East Wawanosh
when he sang The Lord's Prayer
and The Lord is My Shepherd.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride looked lovely in
a full-length gown of imported
lagoda and Swiss lace. 'rig
lattice pattern lace featured full
long sleeves and bodice with an
empire • daisy-edged waistline
falling to a full length cathedral
train at back. The skirt was
A-line to the hem. Her headpiece
of orange blossoms held a silk
illusion tiered veil edged with
scrolls of lace, She carried a
cascade of bridal pink roses,
baby's breath and ivy.
Mrs. Klaske Beecroft of
Wingham, sister of the bride, was
matron of honor wearing a
sleeveless floor-length gown of
white French lace over mint green
peau de soie. It had a rounded
neckline and a mint green band
with a bow enhanced the empire
waistline. She carried an
innovation basket bouquet of
miniature pink carnations, pink
shasta daisies and baby's breath.
The bridesmaids were Mrs.
Barbara Bakker, RR 2, Auburn,
Mrs. Martie Lobb, Holmesville,
sister of the bride, and Mrs.
Carole Fults of Werner Lake,
sister-in-law of the groom. They
wore dresses of the same color
and style as worn by the matron
of honor.
The groom's man was Ian
Fults, twin brother of the
groom, Werner Lake. The ushers
were John Koopmans, brother
of the bride, RR 2, Auburn, Neil
and Northern Ontario, Mr. and
Mrs. Hayter -have taken up
residence at RR 1, Varna.
Before her wedding the bride
was entertained at several
showers, Mrs. Doug Farquhar
held a miscellaneous bower for
friends and relatives, Mr. and.
Mrs. Harvey Hayter held a "Mr.
and Mrs." shower and Mrs,
Richard Robinson was hostess at
a miscellaneous shower.

bride.
Following the ceremony a
reception took place in the
Auburn Community Memorial
hall which was tastefully
decorated with pink and white
streamers, candles on head table
and brandy snifters which were
tied with mint green ribbons and
filled with mint green water and
a floating pink miniature
carnation. The headtable was
centred with a four-tiered
wedding cake.
The bridal party were assisted
in receiving the guests by the
bride's mother wearing an A-line
mauve and white fortrel dress
with white accessories and a
corsage of pale pink roses and
miniature carnations with mauve
ribbon.

mother wearing a coat-dress
ensemble of pale pink shantung
with beaded trim, beige
accessories and a corsage of deep
pink roses and miniature pink
carnations and pink ribbon.
Following a wedding trip to
Toronto and Niagara Falls, the
couple will reside at Werner
Lake.
The master of ceremonies at
the reception was Hugh Lobb.
Telegrams were received from
Scotland and Werner Lake.
Guests were present from
Werner Lake, Auburn,., Elora,
Guelph, Smithsville,
Dungannon, Nile, Elmira,
Belgrave, Blyth, Wingham,
Scotland, Netherlands, New
Brunswick, Seaforth,
Holmesville, Goderich and
Stratford.

was honoured with showers at
Werner Lake, at the community
at Knox United Church and at
the home of Mrs. Irene Thalen
by former pupils of S.S. No 10
East Wawanosh.

an imported Italian Silk faced
peau de soie gown with Venice
lace. A high Victorian neckline
and wrist-length sheath sleeves
adorned with scalloped bands of
Venice lace added to the semi
Empire waistline bodice topping
a slightly gathered formal length
skirt gave an old world air to this
bride. Dimensional style Venice
lace florettes were used to adorn
the bodice and lower half of the
skirt. Back. detail was centered
on the cathedral length train
attached at the waist, outlined

yellow twinkle. The dresses were
styled with the neckline scooped
out at the back and had a self
ruffle around neck and the
sleeves. The back of the dress
had a train effect with a bow at
the waistline.
Miss Viki Schmidt of
Greenwood, Nova Scotia, the
junior bridesmaid, wore a gown
identical to those of the other
attendants. They ' all carried
crescent-shape bouquets of
carnations, tinted pale green
with melon leaves and wore tiny
carnations of the same shade in
their hair.
Gerald Hayter of RR1, Varna,
brother of the groom was best
man and the ushers were Allan
Hayter, brother of the groom
and Paul Morrison, both of
Varna and Steven Steep of
Clinton, brother of the bride.
At the reception and dinner
which followed in the' Church
Parlouri, Mrs. Steep received
guests wearing a coat and dress
ensemble of chanpagne
crimpolene trimmed with brown
crocheted collar. She wore
Talisman rosebuds in her hair
and a corsage of the same
