ACCIDENT STEPS
The Ontario Safety League
again reminds motorists that
after an accident, the first duty
of those involved is to take any
necessary steps to prevent
another one. Many drivers think,
wrongly, that after an 'accident
the cars must be left where they
are until the police arrive. This
misapprehension can lead to
unnecessary danger, and delay to ,
other traffic. After a collision
the cars should be moved to the
curb, or on to the shoulder, if
feasible. Drivers who leave their
cars blocking traffic lanes after a
minor collision may be
summoned for obstruction.
