The Directors of the Huron
Central Agricultural Society
would , like to take the
opportunity of thanking all the
people who so generously
donated to the Clinton Spring
Fair in both cash donations and
donations of merchandise,
A special thanks goes to the
people who rented space in the
arena which made the Trade Fair
such a big success and also those
who displayed their machinery.
To all the people who helped in
any way in getting ready for the
fair and their help on fair day.
When all the work was dome, the girls had a long wait while
the judges tried to decide which was the winner. Only 15
points separated first and third. Here judges John Bilyea
and Nancy Clapp ponder the problem.
Again we say 'Thank You'.

Lori Lynn and Cork: Lee easily won the prize for twins at the Spring Fair. The daughters of Mr.
and Mrs. Doug Sinnamon of RR 1, Waterloo, were the only twins entering. Mrs. sill Dallas, judge
of the contest, presents their prize while Mrs. Eric Switzer, their grandmother, and Mrs. Sinnamon
hold the twins (we must confess we can't say which is which), - staff photo.

Phyllis McKague of Winaharn led off the speaking part of
the competition with a speach on the "good life" living on
a dairy farm, Earlier the girls had had individual
conversations with the judges when they were judged on
personality,
Lynda Walden of Lucknow shows that putting a modern
milker together is no easy chore. The girls had to assemble
their milkers from scratch, purify them, milk the cows and
take the machines apart again and clean them.
Getting right down to the nitty gritty Nancy Ginn of
Clinton tries to get the Most out of her cow. The girls
rushed through 'the operation although they were not
competing against time.
