Spring Fair enjoyed • by everyone
..,42,3041Viiitt Oat;
-"Everybody wins" screams the barker and everybody has the
urge to try.
Oh the wonder of it all!
You're never too young for a ride on the merry-go-round,
especially if your mother comes along to lend a helping hand.
Ah the midway. Where would the fair be without one?
It's the haven of the young and the ,young at heart. By day a
world of thrills and chills for all with a little daring and a quarter in
their pocket. By night a fantasy land of soaring, twisting, flashing
colour.
Poor is the boy who could not afford the price of a ride. Pitty the
adult too old to enjoy the butterflies in the pit of his stomach as he
whirls through space.
The thrill of the year for many years now in towns has been the
visit of the midway. Over the weekend, local kids had their big time.
The News-Record was there to capture some of the fun.
Up, up and away. It can get' a little scary on the swings but
you can't let your friends know you're scared.
