cool things
about a
frost4ree
refrigerator
freezer.
Every housewife should have one.
Frost never forms. Not in the big
refrigerator section. Not in the big
freezer section. So there's no
defrosting, Ever, And you know
what that means.
No more dripping water to mop up.
No more waiting for frost to melt.
Your ice cube trays won't stick
any more. No more; re-freezing
frozen foods,
You'll have more storage space,
because you'll be fi.ce of all
frost accumulation,
And your frozen foods won't
stick together.
Think about it.
Think of all the extra space you'll
have for stocking up on food bargains.
And besides all that, think how
much more attractive your kitchen
will look w:th a sleek n-w
frost-free refrigerator freezer.
NOW is the time to buy.

The Orioles stomped on the
Yankees 12-7 to take a share of
the squirt town league lead
behind the pitching and hitting
of John Hart. Hart had a single
and three doubles, driving in
four runs. T. Colquhoun had a
double. The Yankees were led
by T. Gordner with three singles
and Ian Fleming with a pair.
Other Yankee hitters were S.
Walsh and B. Morgan.
The last place Twins were
edged 9.8 by the Tigers who
won their first game. The Tigers
scored five runs in the first
inning and added three in the
third to hang on for the win,
They got singles from B. Reid, S.
Well over 100 fans enjoyed
their first outing at the newly
renovated Ball Park watching the
Colts thump Hensall 13-5.
Newcomer Ted Tisdale started
the game but had control
trouble and gave up three early
runs before his team mates were
able to hit the scoreboard.
Ed Daer drove in Clinton's
first run, then scored on Barry
Mutrie's triple down the third
base line. Mutrie's bat was hot
throughout the game. ' In the
fifth he drove in another run
with a single, scoring Doc Miller.
In the,. sixth, 'big Hans
Leppington picked up where he
left off last year as he socked a
single over second base in his
first time at bat.
Ed Daer in picking up his first
win of the season for Clinton
was in trouble only in the
seventh when two errors and a
walk set up Hensall for two runs
on a deep drive which went 320
feet into centre field, Clinton
picked up several cheap runs in
the eighth on pass balls, walks
and mixed-up play by Ken
Strong, FROM THE BULL PEN:
Although the Colts won by a big
score — errors by Hensall helped
— the big bats only picked up
seven hits....Ed Daer looked
sharp for three innings with
seven strikeouts....Coach Jim
Livermore has a full lineup and
is trying to give everyone a
chance to show their stuff and
Jones and Robert Taylor. The
Twins' hitters were J. Hearn, R.
Carter and K. Carter.
The Orioles kept a share of
first place by trouncing the
winless Twins 10-5. The Orioles
waited until the top of the fifth
to start, then exploded for five
runs and went on to win. The
Orioles were 'led by J. Hart, D,
Shea and T. Colquhoun while
Kevin Carter had two triples and
a single for the Twins. Rick
Carter was the only other Twin
to get a hit,

try to make the team....The new
shortstop, Barry Mutrie — a
Lands and Forests worker at
Point Farms Park for the
summer — shows promise of
being a good batter but had no
fielding plays to make to test his
ability in that area..,.The fans
will soon be able to sit on new
bleachers recently constructed
by a Kinsmen Work Party. The
Kinettes will stain them first
with a preserver..,.An
unfortunate accident occurred
early in the game when a little,,
girl was struck by a wild throw
over first base. The Kinsmen
club have let a contract to
Lundy Fence to construct a four
foot fence between the dugouts
and the screen and 100 feet
down the field from the
dugouts. The fence will help
eliminate these accidents to
fans.... The Colts' scorebook was
taken by mistake after the
Hensall game by someone and
the scoring and hitting cannot
properly be listed, Please return
the book to the manager, Len
Fawcett....In the opening game
of the season in Thorndale, the
Colts dropped a 4-3 decision.
Clinton tied the score in the
sixth on Butch Fleet's triple.
Bard Dutot and Archie Pickett
scored on the hit, then Fleet
came home on a pass ball.
Charged with the loss was Cam
MacDonald.

three hits while R. McAdam and
A. Lavis each had two. Merlin
White also had a hit, a homer,
while pitching his team to the

G. Butler, had three singles and a
double, driving in six runs. M.
Riley was the only other Fireball
to get a hit.
