crowned at fair
Friday
Three girls will be competing
for the title of Huron County
Dairy Princess Friday. night at
the Clinton Spring Fair.
Bidding for the honour of
representing Huron County at
the Ontario Dairy Princess
competition at the CNE in
August will be Nancy Ginn,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerry
Ginn, Clinton, Phyllis McKague,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross
McKague, Wingham, and Lynda
Walden, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Glen Walden, Lucknow.
The girls will first have an
interview with the three judges,
then present a three minute
speech and finally go through
the procedure of milking a cow.
Judges for the event will be
Dave Dixson of the Department
of Agriculture, John Bilyea,
Ontario Milk Marketing Board,
Kincardine, and Mrs. Janet
Clapp, Huron County Public.
Health Nurse, Clinton.
The competition, sponsored
by the Huron County Milk
Committee, will take place in
the arena at 7:30 p.m. A booth
giving samples of dairy products,
and, door prizes are added
attractions. Besides the chance
for a trip to Toronto, the girls
will receive prizes for their
efforts.
