not disappointed. For a few

"front" than she ever had
before.
I don't know all the ins and
outs of the story — but this
morning I heard the ups and
downs of it.

Comments like that make me
Wonder just how this bosom
building is accomplished. It
sounds to me as though it must
be done by much the same
technique as they use to firm-up
heavy-duty tractor tires by
loading them with some kind of
special fluid.
I remember when we lived on
the farm it was a black day
indeed when all the fluid went
out of the tractor tires. I can
imagine how upsetting it could
be for a woman if All her buxom
beauty began to drip away little
by little, But to find yourself at
half-mast with only one side of
you in full bloom must be more
than the average stout hearted
gal could stand.
I hope this girl collects her
$75,000 or whatever it is. After
all, what price do you put on
disfigurement, dampened spirits
and soul-deep embarrassment.
I have only one word to say
to this wretched woman: It is
better to have had and lost than
never to have had at all.

a dress of blue crepe and wore a
corsage of yellow roses,
For the wedding trip to
Florida, the bride donned a pink
crimplene dress and white coat.
Her accessories were black.
The young couple will reside
at 701 Don Mills Road, Don
Mills, Ontario.
Prior to her marriage, the bride
was honoured at a shower for
relatives at the home of Mrs,
Lorne Hunking with Mrs. John
Riley as co-hostess and a shower
.for neighbours and friends in the
Forester's Hall, Constance with
Mrs. John Jewitt, Mrs. John
Shepherd and Mrs. Jim Howatt
as hostesses.

I've been giving some thought
lately to discontinuing this
polumn. I'm beginning to feel
like the movie title "Sterile
Cuckoo" UnlireOlActiVe
and atupid.
I seem to have gone dry of
ideas and new formats. Every
Week I write the same old things
and every, week my style seems
to get less and less exciting.
Just when I think my
problems are worse than anyone
else's I bear something that
makes me forget my little
worries so that I can throw back
my head and laugh. Today was
one of these days and now I'm
right on top of the world again.
I suppose you heard about the
young lady who was having the
"big problem that is really
little." You didn't?

(Lynne) Leafloor, daughter of
Captain and Mrs. H. W. Leafloor
and John Lyle Henry, son of Mr..
and Mrs. Robert Henry of RR 1,
Blyth, Ontario, at 2 p.m.
Saturday, March 21.
Padre G. Youmatoff
officiated at the double-ring
ceremony and Miss Nancy
Anderson, Auburn, played
beautiful organ selections
including "Ave Marie" and
"Climb Every Mountain?" during
the ceremony.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father and wore
an A-line floor-length gown of
white sculptured crimplene with
an empire waistline, long sleeves
and high round neckline. Her
floor-length tulle veil was held in
place by a miniature pillbox
headpiece and she carried a
bouquet of coral coloured
chrysanthemums with ribbon
streamers.
Mrs. W. M. Mills, sister of the
bride, was matron of honour and
wore a floor-length A-line gown
of coral coloured crimplene and
featured a scalloped neckline
and a large bow with ties falling
from the empire waistline. She
wore a tiny floral headpiece of
matching colour and carried a

The Institute Sunshine Sister
Banquet was held in the evening
of April 6. Over forty members
attended. The Aimwell Unit of
the U.C.W. served a tasty turkey
dinner. Dolores Howalt tendered
a vote of thanks to the retiring
President, Mrs. Josling for her
efficient service during the past
two years. Mrs. Josling replied
thanking all for their
co-operation. Several Sisters
received a gift for perfect
attendance. The revealing of the
Sisters as always was a source of
amusement, a few games of
whist was then enjoyed the next
meeting will be in the evening of
Wednesday, May 6.
Miss Anne Fairservice spent a
few days last week with her
friend Mrs. Easley of Oshawa.
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Lyon
and Mrs. Laura Lyon spent
Saturday in London with Mr.
and Mrs. Ron Neal.
Mr. Harry Durnin who is
under doctor's care in Clinton
Hospital is well on the road to
recovery.
Mr. Earl Gaunt has been
having a bout with pneumonia
and is in Wingham Hospital but
progressing favourably.

Leafloor, the bride's mother,
wore a dress and coat ensemble
of pale mauve crimplene with
black accessories and a mauve
corsage. Mrs. Henry, mother of
the groom, wore a beige
crocheted dress, beige shoes,
fuchsia coloured nylon ribbon
hat and matching gloves and
corsage.
For a wedding trip to
Southern Ontario and United
States • the bride chose a
crimplene dress of beige and
yellow print with a yellow
crimplene coat and hat and
black accessories.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry have
taken up residence at RR 1,
Auburn.
Prior to her marriage Mrs.
Henry was entertained at a
shower given by Janice Henry,
sister-in-law of the groom, and
Mrs. Sandra Rathwell, sister of
the groom.
The seventh meeting of
Holinesville Blossoms was held
Tuesday, April 8. The meeting
opened with the pledge.
Minutes were read by
Catherine Wise. Roll call was
"One way to use dried fruit'.
A discussion on fruit salads,
jellied salads, more fruit desserts
followed. Catherine Wise and
Mrs. Yeo demonstrated how to
make banana bread. A
previously baked loaf was then
sampled.

by her father, For her wedding,
she chose a floor length satin
gown with, imported lace motif,
yoke, stand-up collar and long
lace sleeves. The satin train was
also trimmed with lace and the
shoulder length veil was held in

Mrs, Jack Cole was the hostess
for the Apidt meeting of the
A.C.W. of St. James, Middleton
held last Tuesday afternoon,
April 7,
This meeting was
well-attended with ten members,
six visitors and the Rector, the
Rev. E.J.B. Harrison present.
The President, Mrs. Edward
Wise, -opened with two poems.
Mrs. Joe Storey gave the
prayer partners' prayer.
Mr. Harrison was in charge of
devotions. with the main theme
of "Spring". This was also the
thankoffering meeting.
The annual meeting of the
A.C.W. Diocese of Huron will be
held April 20 and 21 in St.
Paul's Cathedral, London with
registration at Cronyn Hall at
9:30 a.m.
Mrs. Keith Miller read the
minutes and the roll call was a
verse of a favourite hymn.
A "thank-you" was received
from Mr. and Mrs. A. Hudie for
an Easter lily.
Mrs. Alvin Dutot gave the
treasurer's report.
The members extend a sincere
vote of thanks to Mr. ElWin
McCullough for the gift of $10
to be used for music books for
the choir, dedicated in loving
memory of his mother, Mrs. Ben
McCullough.
The year 1972 will be the
100th year of our W.A. (now
A.C.W.),

Mrs. Dorothy Dumont of
London' was the guest speaker;
'She Was .intiodaced
Wise. Mrs. Dumont is no stranger
to this group. When she resided
In Clinton, she entertained the
St. James A. C, W. on various
occasions.
Mrs. Dumont teaches crafts at
the McCormick Home for the
Aged in , London and brought
three of the ladies from this
residence to the meeting for an
outing.
The versatile Mrs. Dumont
demonstrated her skill with a
display of crafts and also showed
colored slides of her trip to
Scotland last summer.
Mrs. Don Middleton moved
the vote of thanks to this
interesting speaker.
Mr. Harrison closed the
meeting with prayer, after which
lunch was served by Mrs. Cole
and Mrs. D. Middleton.
In spite of ice and snow, this
was a very pleasant "Spring"!

Mrs. H. Taylor welcomed the
members and opened the
meeting with a poem. The roll
,call showed 20 members present.
Mrs. J. Cornish reported sending
Easter cards. Miss Marg
McQueen played an
instrumental. Our Lenten money
was brought in.
Mrs. Clarke opened the
devotional part of our meeting
with a hymn. She read the
Scripture and followed by
prayer, the offering was taken
and dedicated. Mrs. G. McGregor
read, "The Hidden Treasure of
Easter". Mrs. L. Wilson took the
study reading . A poem, "Easter
Hat" was read by Mrs. J.
Cornish, The meeting was closed
with the Benediction. A
discussion followed on ways to
make Talent money. A delicious
lunch was served by the hostess
and her co-hostesses, Larry
Henderson played a couple of
number's on his guitar which
were enjoyed.
