Orange Raiders lose in final beaten by Tavistock in overtime An older club from Tavistock captured the first Western Ontario Girls Hockey Championship Thursday in a sudden death win over Chief's BY BERT CLIFFORD Orange Raiders in the Clinton Community Centre. A breakaway goal midway through the first overtime period gave Tavistock the 4-3 win over the young Clinton team. Sandra Graham on an end-to-end rush opened the scoring but Tavistock bounced back with three quick goals. The Raiders never quit trying and with a man (woman?) advantage, Sandra Fremlin slapped a hard shot in from the I blueline. After tremendous pressure, Clinton's tying goal came on another beautiful rush by Sandra Graham. The overtime period was a thriller as play went from end to end. This was Clinton's first year, and with some experience, the girls are going to be a tough club to beat, in the upcoming years. RAINBOW WEDDING LINEir.
