An inquest into the death of
Charles Stiver, 45, of RR 5,
Seaforth, will be conducted
April 7 in Seaforth Town Hall
by Dr. Paul L. Brady, of
Seaforth, Huron County
coroner.
Mr. Stiver was killed Feb. 23

Clinton Pee Wees placed sixth
out of 12 teams in the final
standings of the annual ACA
tournament at Treasure Island
Gardens in London on Sunday.
Neil Colquhoun fired two
goals including the winner and
Greg Holmes and David Counter
scored the other two in the 4-3
win over Delhi.
Clinton accumulated 68.7
points in their game. • The
winning club from Sarnia, hit an
all-time high of 89.5 points.
Billy Irwin, captain of the
Ponies, earned the honor of
playing in the All Star team in
the evening game against
Wexford of Toronto: The
Wexford club won a thrilling
game 6-5.
This weekend the Ponies play
Dearborn on Friday evening in
Clinton, then travel to Mitchell
on Saturday to play in the Lions
Club tournament.

Clinton Bantams advanced to
the finals of the Harriston
Recreation Tournament Co be
held on Sunday with two wins
last weekend.
The first win was a 4.3
victory over Durham led by the
three-goal performance of Mike
Anstett.
The championships of the
Western Ontario girls group "A"
hockey round robin series will
take place in Clinton tonight
beginning at 6:30.
Teams from Seaforth, Blyth
and Clinton will take part. The
winner will play Tavistock, the
group "B" winners.
There are eight teams
altogether in the two leagues.
In the second game, Port
Perry led 4-3 with three minutes
left in the game but three quick
goals by Clinton earned them a
6-4 victory.
Finals in' the Harriston
tournament will be held Sunday
at 4:00 p.m.
Two teams come from Stratford
and one each from Tavistock, St.
Mary's, Exeter, Blyth, Clinton
and Seaforth.
The Clinton team, known as
Cheify's Orange Raiders, holds a
record of 10 wins, one loss and
one tie in 12 games.
They are under the coaching
of Doug Andrews, recreational
director.

meeting and the treasurer's
report followed.
Roil call was answered with

and would you like to make it .a
hobby." The members decided
they would like to try their
ability at curling again next year_
Plans were made to hold the
annual Community Supper' this
month. The meeting was closed
with the Mezpath Benediction..
Nancy Wise then explained
Rug Hooking which is one of her
hobbies. Everyone was surprised
at how simple and inexpensive
this would be.
Lunch was served by
Margaret Farqhuar and Millie
Lobb assisting the hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Comerford,
Angela and Tara of Halifax, have
been visiting with Mr. and Mrs.
Cliff .Ashton of Clinton and Mr.
and Mrs. Don Forbes and family
for the past week.
