MISS MARY SNELL R.N.
Miss Mary Snell, R.N. died

of William, London and
Ephraim, RR 1; Clinton. She
was predeceased by one sister
Elizabeth Jane Bell, brothers
Howard and Humphrey.
A memorial service was
held at the Dodsworth and
Brown funeral parlor,
Hamilton, on Wednesday
evening with the minister of
Zion United Church
officiating.
The body was brought to
the Beattie funeral home
Thursday noon, where a
• service was conducted by
Rev. D. Beck of Bayfield
United Church.
Pallbearers were James
Snell, Richard Snell, Donald
Welsh, Neville Forbes, Harry
Snell and Alvin Betties,
Flowerbearer was Bruce
Betties.
Miss Snell graduated in
'1919 from Hamilton General
Hospital. She then took a
business course and worked
in Dr. Woodhall's office,
Hamilton until her
retirement, She was an active
Member in the Zion United
church, business women's
club and diabetic association
as long as her health
permitted.

The Clintonian Club was
held at the home of Mrs.
Elizabeth Butler. in the form
of an old.fashioned quilting
bee, „the quitters trying to
finish the quilt while the
president, Mrs: Hartley
Managhan conducted the
meeting.
Mrs. Managhan opened the
meeting with a prayer for
growing old. The secretary,
Mrs. Russell Coiclough read
the minutes of the last
meeting, Mrs. Frank
Cummings gave the
treasurer's report and Mrs,
George Glazier, the flower
and card report. Several
thank you notes were read.
Mrs. Leppington reported
for the work committee, one
ion Club
quilt has been pieced and
quilted and another quilted
and two more tops to be
made and another quilt to be
quilted this week.
An invitation to Goderich
birthday party was read and
it was decided two carloads
would go.
Mrs. Cummings was
auctioneer 'for the Dutch
auction. Mrs. Via Lampman
won the towel and Mrs.
Connie Colciough the towel
and wash cloth'. Mrs. George
Glazier won the mystery
prize, After the business
period, several readings were
given, A lunch was served by
Mrs. Murrell, Mrs. Mote, Mrs.
O'Connell and Mrs. Hopsin.
The next meeting will be
April 2 in the town hall.
A Fraternal Curling Bonspiel was held recently at Canadian
Forces. Base Clinton Participants included members of the
Knights of Coluinbus, Shriners and Masons from the surrounding
area. The program ended with awarding of prizes and the serving
of a roast beef dinner. The event was sponsored by the Goderich
Council of the Knights of Columbus and the Program
