...lib pork or beef sausage
1 tbsp salad oil
1 large .onion, chopped
28-oz can tomatoes
6-oz can tomato paste -
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp sweet basil
Polenta
3/1 cup cornmeal
2 cups milk
1 egg
11/2 cups Parmesan
2 Hasp butter
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
Lightly brown onion and
the week
sausages in oil.
Add tomatoes, paste, sugar,
parsley, Mustard and sweet 13401,
Manner for 30 minutes,

Cornmeal and Milk in heavy
Saticenan. Cook Over medium
heat, stirring occasionally, until
mixture boils.
Remove from heat, seat in
egg.
stir in rest of ingredients,
Spread in greased 10" x 6" x 2"
baking dish. .
Spoon sausage mixture over
polenta. Bake at 375 deg. F for
40 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes before
serving, ServeS 6 to 8.

Clinton Orange Hall on February
19 was well attended. Winners of

$500;000 has. been set for the.
Metropolitan Toronto area with
the balance to be raised
throughout the remainder of the
province,
The campaign is sponsored by
the Society in conjunction with
230 Easter Seal service clubs
throughout Ontario, One half
the funds raised by each club is
retained by it for services and
supplies for local needy
handicapped youngsters.
The balance of the funds are
used by the Ontario Society for
Crippled Children to supply such
province-wide services as nursing
(the Society h as 37
specially-trained • nurses in 21
regional offices throughout
Ontario), travelling clinics of
medical specialists, research into
crippling disorders of children
and the operation . and
maintenance of the five summer
camps owned by the Society.
Upon request, the Society
will provide advice 'and
assistance Wherever possible to
various active treatment Centres
throughout Ontario and, in
addition, Subsidizes the
operating deficits of the Ontario
Crippled. Children's ,Centre in
Toronto.
The latter is ,a
world-renowned treatment and
rehabilitation centre offering a
complete range of services to the
youngsters, including diagnostie
and Assessment services, a
105-bed hospital, a 17-room
school, dental clinic, therapy,
recreational facilities,
psychological and social services,

may he conveniently stored in a
kitchen cupboard. Once the
package has been opened, it
should be kept tightly covered
to prevent air and moisture from
entering. The reliquified milk
should be treated as fresh milk
and kept cold and covered.

A. Skim milk powder is fresh
pasteurized milk from which
only the fat, vitamin A which is
in the fat, and water have been
removed,

Isabel .Stewart gave two
readings called "Comparison of
men" and "Words."
Marion Snell conducted
aside. Mix mayonnaise, lemon
juice and rind, salt and mustard;
combine with seafood mixture.
Spoon about 1 cup into each
shell or ramekin. Combine
crumbs and butter fo'r topping
and sprinkle over mixture in
each shell. Bake in 300 degrees
F. oven 10-15 minutes until
just heated. Top with more
shredded imported Holland
Edam or Gouda—(or mixture
may be heated in one 11/2-2
quart casserole 20-25 minutes).

Council of Canada sponsors the
World Day of Prayer observance
in Canada and all moneys
collected are handled by the
Council,
contest won by Marianne
Colclough, and a bingo won by
Barbara Lovett.
The March meeting is to be
held at Vera Gibbings- and the
roll call will be an Auction Sale.
Those on program are Joanne
Salverda, Phyllis Tyndall and
Jean Vodden. Lunch: Margaret
Good, Joanne Salverda and
Marion Snell.
The meeting closed with the
Queen and grace was sung. A
lunch was then served.

theme for the World Day of
Prayer, celebrated Friday, March
6, when fellow Christians in
more than, 130 countries will
join together to pray and give.
Gudrun Diestel of Germany is
the Chairman of the
International Committee
sponsoring the Day. 'The
President of the • Women's
Inter-Church Council of Canada
is a member.
The theme for the service was
chosen and, developed by a
group of five women — a
housewife from Egypt, a social
worker from Guyana, a teacher
from India, one Church worker
from the Philippines and one
from the United States. These
women all prefer to remain
anonymous.
Afternoon and evening
services will be held in churches, Thank you notes came from
homes and schools, hospitals and Bob Smith, Jean Cummings,
wherever people can gather Isabel Stewart, Don and Alison
together. In Canada, 600,000 LObb, and Herman and Corrine
