He urged physicians to'

risks involved for the athlete.
"We have had some success in

CLINTON 5-IVIONKTON 4
The Colts exploded with three
goals within four minutes in the.
third period to pull a 5-4 win
out of the fire over Monkton
Thursday.
Monkton broke the ice at
1:57 when Kerry Pritchard
scored from Warren Smith. Don
Bartliff came back at 5:47 when
he picked up a loose puck and,
while cruising in front of the
goal shoved it home to tie the
score.
Pritchard came back with
another at 6:45 on a two-on-one
break with Smith. Monkton
went ahead 3-1 on a goal by Ken
Appleby from Al Luddington.
Monkton played a strong
skating game-until hard checking
by. the Clinton defence began to
slow them down toward the end
of the second period.
In the third, Paul Draper was,
rewarded with a gift-goal when
his clearing pass from behind the
net hit the goalie's skate and
went into the net. But Barry
Dietz pushed Monkton into a
two-goal lead again when he
scored at 9:26.
It was then the Colt's buckled
down and scored three goals.
Drape? fired another goal with
an assist from Randy Glew.
Then Bud Boyes took a perfect
blueline pass from Ken Daer and
drilled a shot over the goalie's
shoulder: Butch Fleet trickled
the final goal past the Monkton
goaltender.
Monkton• had a good many
chances late' in the game but
goaltender Lorne Daer cooled
them out. With 45 seconds left,
Monkton pulled their goalie and
Bud Boyes missed the net by
only six inches.

Mr. Playter of Mt. Bridges, a
member of the Indian and
Eskimo Association, is
attempting to help some
hockey-minded boys at Cape
Croker to enter the Junior
Hockey Tournament, either this
year or next. It all depends on
how much help he gets on the
project.
Last summer, Mr. Playter sent
the best of the players to hockey
school. Ages range from 10 years
to 14 years and the boys are
very enthusiastic.
Mr. Playter also helped found
a library on the Cape Croker
Reserve.
Anyone wishing to donate
equipment, gloves, pads, pants,
sweaters and other articles may
leave them at 63 North Street,
Clinton or phone 482.9627 to
have them picked up. Donated
articles will be forwarded to Mr.
Playter.
