A beautiful goal by Mike
Anstett after nine 'minutes of
sudden death overtime gave the
Fish and Game Bantams their
2-1 over a hard checking team
from St. Mary's. Jim Cameron
drifted in a long shot from the
point and Anstett was in the
right position to knock in the
rebound.
The Clinton team didn't play
their usual strong skating game
until late in the overtime period.
St. Mary's scored first with only
27 seconds left in the second
period. But team captain Danny
Colquhoun took Brian
Languille's face-off pass and
scored 11 seconds later for a 1-1
tie.
Neither team could score in
the third with both goalies
making standout saves. Just
seconds before Anstett's goal,
St. Mary's bounced two shots
off the goalpost in a goalmouth
