The Colts hung in during the
first two periods in two games
this week but found the final 20
minutes too much each time as
they lost to Monkton and
Seaforth.

Friday, Clinton had taken an
early two-goal lead on goals by

It was much the same story
Sunday night when a large
hometown crowd saw the Colts
stay with the strong 'Seaforth

Don Bartliff and Butch Fleet
scored for Clinton in the first
period but Bob Beuttermiller,
Ken Doig and Jim Dick scored
to give Seaforth a 3-2 lead.
Neither .club could score in
the exciting second period but
the third. period was all
Seaforth's as they banged in five
goals to Clinton's one.
The Colts stopped their tough
forechecking and allowed the
smooth oldtimers like Ken Doig,
Jack 1VIcIllwain and Murray
Henderson to skate in around
the defence. Henderson scored
three and Mclllwain two in the
third. Clinton's lone goal came
from Sid Macaulay's stick.

Ponies break win
The Pee Wee Ponies lost their
first game in a month Monday
night to Goderich.
For two periods Clinton
stayed with a 2.2 tie but early in
the third period Goderich went
ahead with three goals before
Steve Cook put in Clinton's
third goal.
Robin McAdam and Neil
Coiquhoun scored in the first
period. The Ponies stopped their
forechecking in the third period
allowing Goderich to press
around the Clinton net.
The heavy schedule and the
long drive to New York on the
weekend slowed the Clinton
boys' skating late in the game.
This weekend the Ponies play
Friday evening in Watford
against the Fortron Blue' Devils
from St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
The Bantams play against St.
Marys on Saturday morning in
Watford.
