FRED HAMILTON Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Evans, of Stratford, were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Burgin and John, of London, spent Sun­ day with Mr. and Mrs, G. H. Bur­ gin. Thomas Atthill, of Petawawa, is spending a couple of weeks with liis mother, Mrs. Ed hill. Hold Christinas Meeting The regular meeting of Mission Band was held in basement of the church Saturday afternoon. Patsy Marshall, presi­ dent, led the meeting which had Christmas as the theme, Betty Fletcher read a poem, "Come Up the Road to Bethle­ hem.” Scripture readings were given by Grace Allen, Marlene Stone, Vesta Watson and Kaye Allen. Bill Marshall and Vesta Watson gave readings. A Christ­ mas chorus was sung by Jean Doupe, Sandra Jory, Helen, An­ derson, Iris Marshall and Sharon Stone. Mrs. Anderson gave the scripture story. The junior and senior study was taken by the leaders, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Burgin. The mfembers of the Mission Band presented their gifts of knitting wool and used clothing for a bale to be sent to Korea. Games and a Christmas treat for the children followed, the pro­ gram. Kirkton Institute Studies Industry 'Mrs. C. Christie addressed Kirkton W.I. on "Canadian dustry and Agriculture” at November meeting at the home of Mrs. Monty Dobson. Roll call was answered by “a place of in­ dustry I have visited.” Taking part in the program were Mrs. G. Allen who gave a reading; Mrs. A. Levy, a piano number and Mrs. W. Batten who spoke on the motto "Less spice in pickles and more in living.” Mrs. Eveleigh gave a report of the area convention. For their next meeting the members will visit Tweedsmuir Hall, London, on December 6 where they will have a Christmas party with the patients and pres­ ent each one with a gift provided by the W.I. members.
