For this bull they paid $10,000. -—,—,— ------,—,— Fn Junior Institute Exchanges Gifts Christmas was the theme of the Junior Institute meeting last Wednesday night and Mrs. How­ ard Pym gave an interesting dem­ onstration on gift wrapping and decorations. Marion Creery gave a Christ­ mas recitation and Perla Hern re­ viewed current events. Roll call was answered by an exchange of gifts. ■Committees were appointed to plan the annual Mother and Daughter banquet for February. Tickets will be sold on an electric percalater which will- be the door prize at the banquet, A donation of $5.00 was voted to the War Memorial Children’s Hospital, ■Films were shown at the joint meeting with the junior Farmers. W.M.S. Zion West W.M.S. held Christmas meeting last Wednes­ day evening at the home of Mrs. Norman Jaques with Mrs. Tom Hern and Mrs. Ward Hern in charge. Mrs. Clare Towle favored with a vocal solo. Sunshine Mission Band The Mission Band met at the schoolhouse at 4 o'clock Monday for their 'Christmas program. Those in charge were: Doris and Doreen Brock, Mary Dickey, Marie Johns and Greta, Stephens. Mrs. Scott presided and led in devotions, using the Christmas program outlined in the Glad Tidings, with Mrs. M. Lamond assisting. Mrs. Grace Scott led in the dedicatory prayer, The annual business meeting followed and encouraging reports were given by the secretaries, the society having gone well over their allocationin their givings. Personal Items Mrs. Margaret Kerslake and Miss Lillian Ballantyne, Exeter, visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. William Hamilton, Miss Margaret Ann Wallace is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, having undergone an operation for appendicitis. Mr. and Mrs. Gersliam Speare, Toronto, spent the weekend with his sister, Miss Olive Speare. Mr. William Hamilton attend­ ed the funeral of his uncle, Mr. John Allison, Thames Road, Saturday. in- Circle At Caven Installs Officers Mrs. W. G.
