Squelched 25-0 by their first game of the local Panthers surprised the i the league leaders with stellar defensive play which kept Mit­ ehell off the scoring sheet until the third quarter. Score was 7-5 on Monday Miteheli in the season, Churches Feature Laymen's Service It was Laymen’s Day in the United Churches of Exeter on Sunday. At Main Street Church Mr. E. Whitmore, of Seaforth, was the special speaker at the morning service. In James Street Church, Mr. Cecil Wilson was the speaker. He was assisted in the service by Messrs. Garnet Ilicks and Robert Southcott. Miss Marilyn Bissett sang a solo. Station Hospital at Cen­ tralia over the weekend with minor injuries resulting from a head-on collision on the county road half a mile from Centralia. Police said two cars driven by Ervin Marleau,’R.C.A.F. Sta­ tion Clinton, and Gaston Fortier, R.C.A.F. Centralia, crashed head- on. Passengers in the Marleau John Materi and Lee R.C.A.F. There were six teams winning five points each — Hot Dogs, Jolly Six, Merry. Maids, Pin Pop- ettes, Alley Cats and Happy Gals. Nov. 8)P Marshall Cattle Win Milk Honors Three awards for milk produc­ tion were presented to Ross Mar­ shall, Kirkton dairy farmer, at the annual meeting of the Huron County Holstein Club last week. A three-year-old cow from the Marshall herd achieved the high­ est production of fat for the county during the year. The 365- day record was 16,870 pounds of milk and 706 pounds fat. Other awards were for a rour- year-old cow 365-day record of 16,21S pounds milk and 599 pounds fat; and for a mature cow record of 13,838 pounds milk and 625 pounds fat.
