Figure Skating
To Start Soon
Indications point to a
membership in the Exeter Figure
Skating Club, officials said Wed
nesday. The group has received
many inquiries about the classes
and it is expected many will join
before the first instruction is
given on Saturday, October 30.
Mrs. Warren Sanders, president
of the club, said membership was
still open for any who wish to
join.
It’s expected that Peter First-
brook, the instructor, will hold
his first class on Saturday, Octo
ber 30, if the ice is ready by that
time. Mr. Firstbrook, who skated
with Barbara Ann Scott last year,
is the professional at the London
club.
Mrs. Sanders said a number of
boys will be taking lessons this
year for the first time.
Officials said there is some
confusion over the status of the
adult division of the skating club.
This class is for pleasure and will
not be involved in figure skating
instruction.
