After dinner the children joyed swimming and games. Winners The winners of the races were an Morenz; girls, 5-7, June Mor enz 10. Roy Be.uermann Donna Morenz; Rode; wheelbarrow race: June and Sharon Morenz, James East and H. Connolly. The children also enjoyed a peanut scramble. T. Dykeman re­ union was held July 1 at the home of Jud Dykeman. Dinner was served at noon and sports followed with the president Mer­ ton Dykeman in charge. Three teams were chosen to participate in the events. Jud Dykeman’s team was the winner. A ball game George Brown as captains. The officers year are: president, Jud Dyke­ man; secretary. Miss Elaine Hern gave a talk on her trip to was and for played with Jud Dyke man the following First Of Band Concerts Held At Grand Bend The first band concert of the season, conducted by the Thed­ ford Silvei’ Band, and sponsored by the local Chamber nierce, was thoroughly by the large crowd who on Sunday evening in the casino. Band concerts will be held each Sunday evening. The Lucknow Pipe Band will play on Sunday evening, July 10, from 8 to 9.30 p.in. Other bands from the district will play on Sundays during the summer. A special bandstand has been erected by Lakeview Casino for the concerts. Miss Gail Stubbs of Sarnia spent Sunday with her cousin, Mrs. Everett Desjardin and Mr. Desjardin. Miss Barbara Jackson of Strat­ ford is visiting her grandmother, Mrs. J. Mousseau. Mr, and Mrs. Alvin Bossen- berry and family spent the holi­ day with Mrs. Myrtle Bossenberry at Point Clark. The Morenz annual picnic was held at Mitchell on Saturday with about one hundred attending from Exeter, Hensall, Dashwood, Grand Bend, Detroit and Buffalo. Father Coughlin celebrated his first solemn high mass at his home church at Mount Carmel on Sunday morning, after which about 60 guests attended a din­ ner in the Parish Hall.
