SHUR-GAIN
JW LAYING MASH
SAVES 30 LBS. OF FEED ON EVERY CASE OF EGGS
Farmers all over the country are' putting their pullets
on SHUR-GAIN Super Laying Mash this year.
The reason ? Less feed to produce a dozen eggs. With
more energy and greater protein, mineral, vitamin
fortification in Super Laying Mash, laying hens don’t
require as much to reach high egg production.
You can SAVE 30 lbs. of feed on every case of eggs
you produce with SHUR-GAIN Super Laying Mash.
See us today about this “high efficiency” feed.

Our playground attendance
this year for the first three days
is greater than last year by al
most 100 children and indica
tions point to a bigger and bet
ter year all around.
We got off to a. good start on
Monday morning with a scaven
ger hunt that had a two-fold
purpose. Besides providing a lot
of fun for the various teams com
peting, it turned up plenty of
good craft material so necessary
to the playground program. Toys,
pencils, paper bags, crayons,
books and games are a few of
the essentials that, may be
thrown in a corner of the base
ment. Let ns put them to good
use, Any of these articles would
be appreciated. Have your daugh
ter or son bring them up,
Thanks!
Swimming Registration
For our special events program
this Friday (tomorrow) all mo
thers are asked to register their
children between the ages of six
and 16 years in the Exeter Kins
men Learn-To-Swim classes. Reg
istration cost is 50 cents.
> This registration fee entitles
the children to seven weeks of
instruction with at least two les
sons per week. For the first two
weeks, all swimming will be in
the mornings from 9.30 to 12
Monday to Friday.
Registration forms will be
given to the children to take
home and have signed. Classes
commence Monday. July 12, at
9.30 a.m. The instructor will be
Boh Fletcher and while Bob is
instructing one of the supervis
ors will act as life guard. This
is the first Learn-To-Swim class
to he held in Exeter. Take ad
vantage of this opportunity and
register early.
Minor Sports
Minor house league baseball
and softball playoffs commence
Monday at 2.00 p.m. Coaches are
asked to notify their players. We
deem it wise to run the playoffs
in the afternoons due to the
swimming in the morning. On
Monday the Nitehawks will meet
the Tomahawks and the Braves
ta.ckle the Giants. Top team, in
each league gets a bve so Mo
hawks and Leafs will be idle.
Next week will be Olympic
week with a mock track meet
Friday morning and a tabloid
sports meet Friday afternoon.
A very informative addition to
this column starts this week.
Each issue one of the supervisors
will write a column known as
Playground Patter. This week it
is written by Don Taylor, assist
ant Playground Director.

Our 1954 playground season
started in a very successful man

aproximately 24'0 children en
rolled for a summer of fun and
activity. Since then our enrol
ment has leaped, to 300.
Thus far a program, has been
arranged and carried* out for
children from three to 16 years
of age. If a good representation
of all ages is maintained, the
supervisors will endeavour to
carry on a well-rounded curricu
lum to suit the needs and de
sires of all the children.

teams and each team was given
a list of the things they were to
collect from neighboring homes.
These lists consisted of such ar
