The burning of the former church in 1921 set a goal for the W.A. and they raised money “in every conceiv­ able way” to assist in the re­ building and refurnishing. Musical Numbers Musical numbers on the pro­ gram included solos by Mrs. Fred Penwarden and Mrs. Margaret Fletcher, a piano solo by Mrs, Gordon Weir, and a piano duet by Joan and Douglas Weir. Rev. Gordon Weir of Millbank, a former pastor, who returned to Centralia with his family for the anniversary, spoke briefly. Letters were read by Mrs. Ralph Lightfoot’from Mrs. R. N. Stewart, Mrs. Merriam, Rev. Ar­ thur Sinclair and Rev, Falcon­ bridge, who were unable to at­ tend. Former members who recalled the days they lived in Centralia included Mrs. Lillian Blair, Mrs. Otto Brown • and Mrs. W. J. Smith of Exeter, Mrs. William Skelton of Lucan and Mrs. George Thompson of London. Mrs. Hodgson invited everyone to a social hour in the Sunday School room at the conclusion of the program. Mrs. W. J. Parsons, the only living charter member of the W.A., was unable to attend the meeting. The honor of cutting the anniversary cake, which was made and donated by Mrs. Tho­ mas Willis, was given to Mrs, John Essery, who is over 9 6 years old. Mrs. Nelson Baker lighted the candles on the cake. Tea was served at attractively arranged tables by members of the W.A.
