Douses Fire
While Donald Watson and
Bobbie were on their way to
work in London about 8 o’clock,
they noticed smoke coming from
a chicken house, belonging to
Martin Whitson, which js on his
other farm on the corner of
concession 12, McGillivray, about
80 rods from where Martin lives,
Donald went in to the fire and
sent Bobbie back to get Martin.
At this time the roof was on fire
so Donald handed pails of water
from a nearby pump and had the
fire nearly under control when
Martin and Bobbie returned,
The chicken house contained
a large number of pullets almost
•half grown.
