Torn Sherritt, Hensall, won the Doubles Championship with 18 out of 24. Twenty shoot­ ers were present from London, Stratford, Goderich, Exeter, Hen­ sall and Kippen, Members will meet on Sunday, January 10 to choose sides for a team shoot. Charles Prouse, of Goderich, and W. Venner, Hensall, the oldest members of the club, will be cap­ tains and will choose up sides, the losing side to provide the supper for the members and their wives. Women’s Institute The monthly meeting of the Hensall Women’s Institute will be held in the Legion Rooms on Wednesday night, January 13. A film pertaining to Health will be shown under the direction of the Health Unit, Clinton. Cromarty Farm Forum The topic discussed at Crom­ arty Farm Forum held Monday night in Cromarty School was “Farm Organization Presents Problem”. After the discussion, euchre was played and winners were Mrs. Bert Riley, Mrs. Ger­ ald Carey, Leslie Riley, Calder MeKaig. In charge of arrange­ ments were Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Allen. The meeting scheduled for next Monday night has been can­ celled as the Staffa Work Shop will be held in Stafffa Hall com­ mencing Monday, January 11, and continuing through until Friday. ■ An educational film will be shown at S.S. 6 Cromarty on Monday evening, January 11, and at S.S. 7, Tuesday .evening. Thrifty Kippenettes The Thrifty Kippenettes held their first meeting at the home of their leader, Mrs William J. F. Bell, Monday afternoon, De­ cember 28. Their project is "Be­ ing Well Groomed and Well Dressed”. A membership of 18 is an increase of 11 from last year. Thirteen members were present at the. meeting, including mothers of the new members. Officers elected for 19 54 were: president, Marilyn Mousseau; vice-president, Elaine Bell; sec­ retary, Ann Sinclair; treasurer, Phyllis Lostell; publicity for radio, Marie Jarrott; pianist, Margaret Smillie. Beer, Hensall, has accepted a position as secretary to the Matron of the King Edward VII Memorial Hos­ pital, Bermuda, her duties to commence February 15.
