Mrs. Lammie, who has been blind for years, active in Red knit hundreds in World wars also crocheted spreads and was able to do many household duties in spite of her handicap. As a young girl she attended the school for the blind at Brantford. Mrs. Lammie start ed the C.N.I.B. campaign in Hu ron County by giving the first donation. Very active in the work of the United Church she was a life long member of the Women’s Missionary Society and member of the church. She attended the W.M.S. meeting held last Thurs day. Surviving are two daughters, Amy, teacher for C.N.I.B. at Lon don, Greta, at home, and one son, Ray, postmaster at Centralia; two grandchildren, Bobby Jean Lammie. Her husband, liam Lammie, predeceased some years ago. The body is resting at Bonthron funeral home, Hensall, where public services were held Tuesday, October 6 at 2 p.m. with Rev. W. J. Sh© many lovely bed and Wit her the Dr. W. Geiger Zurich Native Dr. William Geiger, of Water loo, died suddenly at his home Sunday, October 4 in his seventy- second year. Dr. Geiger staffed practising in Waterloo in 1911, 42 years ago and has been prac tising ever since. Born in Zurich, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Owen Geiger, he received his early education in Zurich and Clinton and taught school in Dashwood. He was a graduate of Toronto University and interned at Ottawa Protestant General Hospital. Surviving are his widow, the former Grace Martin, London; three sons, William and Owen,, Waterloo, and James, attending Yale University; one daughter, Helen, student at McMaster Uni versity, Hamilton. Four brothers, Rora, Kitchener, Sidney, school inspector, Mani- toulin Island, Edmund and Ira, of Hensall, and a sister, Mrs. Eric Kennedy, of Hamilton. Funeral services were held Waterloo on Tuesday. ROSS SKINNER Elimville W.M.S. & W.A. The Elimville W.M.S. and W.A. held their September meeting at the home of Mrs. Howard Johns on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Ho race Delbridge and Mrs. Frank lin Skinner were in charge of the meeting, using the Missionary Monthly program. Mrs. H. Ford gave a reading on "Christian Stewardship” and Mrs. Elson Lynn gave the first chapter of the Study Book. Mrs. William Johns, president of the W.M.S., had charge of the business. Nineteen members answered roll call. Mrs. H. Ford and Mrs. Lynn were appointed delegates to the sectional meet ing at Kippen, October 21. The October meeting with the Mission Circle will be held in the evening. With the bake sale held in Exeter, $154 has been raised for United Church Train ing School, The W.A. voted to pay for a new door for the church. Walden, Lucknow, showed the first prize junior herd. Geo. Tervitt and Son won the Sam Reddick trophy for the best uddered female on their second prize dry aged cow, Caocrest Col lege Vida. The prize for the best uddered two-year-old went to William Storey, Seaforth. Glen Walden had the winning dry three-year-old; Ross Marshall the first prize aged cow in milk, the first prize aged .cow dry, first prize four-year-old in milk; Wil liam Storey, first prize two-year- old in milk; G. R. McKiel, first prize dry two-year-old; and Wil-, liam Storey first prize senior yearling bull.- According to Holstein field man J. E. Terry, this was the best Black and White Show yet held in Huron County, and was particularly strong in the bull and senior female classes. G. R. Row, Curries, did an excellent job of placing the awards. A total of 102 head was shown by 18 exhibitors.
