Griffin and family back to the village after several weeks vaca­ tion. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Butcher, of Simcoe attended the' Garden Party and visited with Mr, and Mrs. Ira Marshall. Mrs. John Crewson, of Brant­ ford, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Batten over the week­ end. Rev. George A. Hamilton, of Lion’s Head, visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamilton, on Monday and while here attended the Shakespearean Festival in Stratford. Mr. and Mrs. W. Cluff, of Kitchener attended the Garden Party and said ‘'Hello” to the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Marshall. The Kirkton junior ball team played with Anderson juniors de­ feating the visiting 'team by a score of 7-5. Mrs. Dickson, of Niagara, visit­ ed with her sister, Mrs. man, over the weekend. This little hamlet is a broad smile. The Garden Party was a great suc­ cess. The committee in charge appreciate the splendid patron­ age given by the surrounding communities. Mrs. failing for several since Friday she seriously ill. She was born in Exeter, only daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. William Sweet. In 1915 she was married to Dr. John Reid who was associated with Dr. Sweet, Dr. Reid died in 1918.
