We invite our readers to make use of this column. Our Town As the saying goes one could be dead but doesn’t know it. Well, that’s our town—except for amusements. Oh yes, we have plenty of them and more hatch ing, but where is the money coming from? Our young' people, now that school is ended, what are they going to do for money? Some of them that used to work at the canning factory to help pay their way can go to the cities, perhaps come home weekends and spend their money in town. Well, does the town deserve it? They don’t get employment here to keep our town growing with young folks. The town drives them out. No wonder the cities are growing so fast. As our newspaper printed last week, and one recent paper also said, boast of your town’s amuse ments—but how sad, no work. I have heard that several in dustries have called but have been discouraged by some hard working citizens, so they looked elsewhere and picked another spot. Retired town for retired people —make your here because place to earn wasn’t for the young fortune and there sure it in town. airport, how ■•w BIRTHS BENGOUGH — Mr. and Mrs. James Bengough, Hensall, are pleased to announce the birth of their son at Clinton Public Hospital on Friday, June 19; a brother for Billy. If it was only a couple of small ones, we would do our best, I hope, t.o make them feel at home. Maybe I have said too much now, but what’s the matter?
