The Story In
Saintsbury
By MRS. H. DAVIS
An enjoyable evening was
spent in the Parish Hall of St.
Patrick’s Church on Friday, May
1, when Mrs. Harry Carroll and
Mrs. Murray Abbott entertained
some 90 relatives and friends at
a miscellaneous shower in honor
of Miss M. McIntyre and Mr. Ar
thur Abbott, whose marriage
takes place May 9 in Glencoe.
After a short program with
Mr. Gerald Godbolt of Centralia
as jovial chairman, Miss McIntyre
and Mr. Abbott were escorted to
a decorated seat. Mrs. Harry Car
roll read a well worded address
and Mrs. Flannigan and Miss A.
Davis, cousins of the groom-to-
be, assisted the bride-elect with
the many gifts. Mr. Abbott re
plied and thanked all who had
helped to make the evening so
pleasant.
Lunch was served and all en
joyed a social hour.
