Mission Band Meets
The April meeting . of the
Mission Band was held Sunday
during the church service. The
meeting opened with the call to
worship by Carol Anne Hume,
followed by an Easter devotional
period with Margaret Anderson,
Margaret Webber, Sharon Hume,
Jean Anderson, Gerald Gack
stetter and Glen Lamport taking
part.
Mrs. Melvin Gardiner led in
prayer. Minutes of the last meet
ing were read. The roll call was
answered by an Easter verse.
Margaret Webber had charge
of the programme which con
sisted of a reading by Gerald
Gackstetter and a song by Mari
lyn Gardiner. The topic was
given by Doris Elford.
Meal Planning
Topic At Club
The fourth meeting of “The
Club Girl Entertains” was held
at the home of Mrs. Harold
Taylor on April 17 with 15
members present, From the roll
call a name for the clttb was
chosen, “The Etiquette Kids”.
The topic of the meeting was
“Meal Planning and Food Rules”.
Nutrition and suggestions for
planning meals were discussed.
Mrs. Taylor also demonstrated
how to pack a weekend bag with
the necessary articles.

groom expects to be posted to
the west coast in two months.

A charming spring wedding
was solemnized at the RCAF
Station, Centralia, on Saturday,
April 18 at 11 a.m. when Lucinda
Priscilla Dinney, of Crediton, and
LAC Ralph James Taylor, of
RCAF Station, Centralia, ex
changed marriage vows. Rev.
Father Charboneau of the Sta
tion performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Chris Dinney, Crediton, and
the late Mr. Dinney, and the
groom, son of Mrs. Henry Taylor,
Belleville, and the late Mr.
Taylor. ,
Stanley Dinney gave his sister
in marriage.
For her wedding the attractive
bride wore a beige suit with ac
cessories in blue and a corsage
of American Beauty roses.
Mrs. Jack Thorne, Belleville,
sister of the groom, was brides
maid, wearing, a green taffeta
dress with corsage of Talisman
roses.

should be fined by the league to
encourage and enforce full
strength teams on every occasion.
We would like to see a rule made
