Service was held on Sunday
evening which was in charge of
the Sunday School and young
people. The devotional period, in
charge of the young people, was
taken by Cliff Cook, president,
assisted by Rhoda Nixon, who
read the scripture. Rev. G. C.
Raymer led in prayer. The film,
“I Behold Thy Glory”, was
shown by Don Middleton, Solos
were sung by Mrs. R. Welsh of
Wesley and Mr. Tuckey of Lu
can. The organist was Mr. Kew
of Lucan.
Revere Farm Forum
The forum met on Monday eve
ning at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Kennedy, The topic
for discussion was “More Attrac
tive Farmsteads”. There was a
good discussion and the subject
a timely one. Orville Bridgeman
and Jack Speake of London
showed natural colored slides of
pictures that had been taken at
Pickerel Lake and at Boy Scout
camp there.
The next meeting will he held

Executive Meets
The Men’s Bowling Association
executive met last Thursday night
at the alleys. All members were
present with the exception of
Ken Hockey.
Secretary Alf Andrus gave a
full account of the league's fin
ances.
Trophies for high single, high
triple, high average and for the
league champions were ordered.
The annual banquet was dis
cussed and committees were ap
pointed to assume various de
tails. Ken Hockey and Wilf Shap-
ton were delegated to investigate
prices and places and, if satis
factory, to book the banquet for
a tentative May date. Dick Jer
myn and Bob Davis are in
charge of entertainment.
Tickets, for the banquet will be
printed and sold in advance this
year. Most of the banquet cost
will be paid from the treasury.
Complimentary tickets will be
sent to the league’s benefactors.

Two members
were entertained
of Mr. and Mrs. Don Case last
week following bowling. The eve
ning was made even more enjoy
able than it might have been by
the spontaneous aspect of the
visit.
The two bowlers phoned the
Case farm around midnight to
welcome the couple back from
their honeymoon. They told Don
ald they were on their way up
for bacou and eggs, but Donald
rather pointedly said they need
not bother as everyone was in
bed.
Of- course, everyone couldn’t
have been in bed .because Donald
answered the phone, so the self-
appointed welcoming committee
drove up.
The house was in darkness
with the doors locked, but the
visitors discovered Donald had
thoughtfully left a window un
fastened (not wanting to be too
obvious in his welcome).
We’re not certain whether it
was the smell of bacon and eggs
frying or whether it was curious-
ity that provoked Donald into
joining his “guests” in the kit-
of.the Big Six
