Mrs, Maria Hayter
Mrs. Maria Hayter, widow of
William Hayter, formerly of
Stephen Township, died Sunday
in Detroit where she made her
home. She was in her eighty
fifth year.
Mrs. Hayter was born in Stan
ley Township and moved to
Stephen at the age of two years.
She was a member of Grace
Church, Greenway.
Surviving are two soils, New
ton, of Stephen Township, and
Willis, of Detroit, and five
daughters, (Eva) Mrs, Mark
Miller, (Pearl) Mrs- Legrande
Wright, (Helen) Mrs. William
Sherwood and Mrs. Lillian Mc
Lean, all of Detroit; (Gladys)
Mrs. Fred McLinchey, Stephen
Township; one sister, Mrs. Arn
old Rock, McGillivray Township;
one brother, Joseph Hickey, of
Stephen Township.
The body rested at the North
rup funeral home, Detroit, until
Tuesday when it was brought to
the T. Harry Hoffman funeral
home, Dashwood, where the
funeral was held on Wednesday,
