She was in her eighty­ fifth year. Mrs. Hayter was born in Stan­ ley Township and moved to Stephen at the age of two years. She was a member of Grace Church, Greenway. Surviving are two soils, New­ ton, of Stephen Township, and Willis, of Detroit, and five daughters, (Eva) Mrs, Mark Miller, (Pearl) Mrs- Legrande Wright, (Helen) Mrs. William Sherwood and Mrs. Lillian Mc­ Lean, all of Detroit; (Gladys) Mrs. Fred McLinchey, Stephen Township; one sister, Mrs. Arn­ old Rock, McGillivray Township; one brother, Joseph Hickey, of Stephen Township. The body rested at the North­ rup funeral home, Detroit, until Tuesday when it was brought to the T. Harry Hoffman funeral home, Dashwood, where the funeral was held on Wednesday, March 18 Crawford ment was cemetery. Personal Items Mr. and Mrs. James Koessel, Mrs, Arthur Koessel, Virginia and Norma, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs, C. T. Pfile and Mrs. J. Kuntz. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dutertre, who have been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Haist, for some time, left Tues- da ,for their home in Wakaw, Sask. * Mr. and Mrs, Henry Hoffman spent last week with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Evans at Richmond Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stelck have returned after spending several weeks with their son Mervyn in Bradford. Mr. and Mrs. Ken McCrae and Bonnie Heather spent the week­ end at Oakville. Mrs. Milton Haugh, who has been in London hospital for some time, has returned and is con­ valescing at her home here. Mrs. A. V.
