CHANGE FROM ONE TYPE OF TRACTOR
TO THE OTHER IN ONE-HALF HOUR
Here’s the answer to your wish—a fast all-
purpose tractor for cultivating 2 or 4 rows,
and a husky 3-plow 4-wheeler for plowing
and other year-round work. Come in—see
how easily a simple switch of front-end
parts gives you both the regular Case "DC”
and the 4-wheel Model WDC4.”

Three teams managed to take
seven points this week as the
first round of the semi-final play
offs got underway in the Men’s
Bowling League. The Butchers
and the Keglers whitewashed all
opposition in the “A” Group,
the Huskers topped "B” Group.
“A” GROW
Butchers 7, Spares O
The Butchers caught the Spares
on an “off” night, and pulverized
the league leaders 7-0—1,309-
1,030, 1,103-1,067 and 1,378-986.
The meatmen toppled a triple
of 3,79 0, probably the best of
the season. Har Wolfe was back
in harness and led the winners
with 754 (2S2). Low man had
615. Bob Simpson had 599 (228)
for the losers. Rene Francois had
an unheard of- (for him) 468.
Keglers 7, Strikes O
The Keglers took a full seven
points, fully earned as they
snuffed the Strikes 1,188-1,135,
1,298 - 1,065 and 1,130 - 1,078.
Berno McLean was hot, rolling
786 (297), L. Porter had 573
(210) for the losers.
Tradesmen 4, Big Six 3
The Tradesmen got the better
of a 4-3 split with the Big Six
this week, although some of the
games were nothing to rave
about. The Legion team edged
the half-dozen 946-1,141, 995-
958 and 1,178-1,136. Ken Hockey
lead the Big Six with 711 (261).
There were no scores entered the Tradesmen’s score sheet.
“B" GROW
Huskers 7, Short. Circuits 0
The Short Circuits were
the short end of a 7-0 score
the Huskers whalloped them
211-1,039, 1,079-1,031 and 1,064-
918. Bill Webster rolled an even
600 (238) for the winners, who
were initiating fleshly yellow and
green crests on their white sweat
shirts.
Maroons 5, Pinpoppers 2
The Maroons clamped their jinx
on the Pinpoppers, the hapless
’Poppers able to shake it off for
only one game—-1,093-1,180, 1,-
229-1,137 and 1,205-1,187. Bill
Lisney led the colored shjrts with
a triple of 70S (267) and “Damn-
the-Handicaps-Full-Speed-Ahead”
Bob Nicol clobbered 804 (279)
for the losers,
Spare Parts 5, Panthers 2
The Spare Parts and Panthers
battled to a 5-2 decision, with
tlie SPs arising victoriously—963-
95S, 1,213-1,014 and 996-1,060.
It was Ed Conrad’s bowling that
did the trick for the winners.

EXETER ONTARIO
Donald
Donald Stirling Case has long
been a source of humor (?) for
this column — sometimes paying
for free bowling schedules, some
times just being his own obnox
ious, aggravating self. It is only
fair, with his end so near (he
gets married on Saturday) that
we pause briefly to lift our
glasses in tribute to one who has
contributed so much.
His friends and teammates on
the Big Six have been noticed
of late with their yellow sweat
shirts at half-mast, in rever
ence to the passing of this fine
sportsman and bon vivant (or
perhaps shrinkage is the cause).
Space does not permit us to
list his sterling qualities, to dwell
cm the outstanding example he
has set for bowlers with his gen
tle humor and quiet, unassuming
manner. He has been the quin-
tessnce of reliability and prompt
ness. Stan Frayne captain of the
Big Six, has been heard to say:
“With the other members Of the
team, I never know Whether
they’ll be ten minutes early or
five minutes early, but Case is
ALWAYS at least 20 minutes
late. Never falls!”
Right now, odds are 50-50 as
to Whether he will be late for the
Wedding. Those who know Doh
are betting on a tardy Entrance
and friends 6f the bride-to-be are
confidently taking all bets!
Seriously, we wish Don and
Phyllis the best of luck and a
lifetime of happiness , , .
