Promoters of Popular Prices.
Our Sale of Crockery is still on, and although
the town is rather quiet these days owing to the farmers
being so busy with the harvest, still it is wonderful how
business keeps up. We are finding sales for a lot of the
above goods because our prices seem to suit. We have
a lot more different articles which were not mentioned in
our last issue and prices are reduced the same as on the
the others. In all, you will find that we are the cheapest
Crockery House in town at any time of the year.
See our window this week for Souvenir and Berry
Setts with prices for each.
Remember the place, “Beaver Block.”

To check early colds or Grippe with “Preventics”
means sure defeat for Pneumonia. To stop a cold
with Preventies is safer than to let it run and be
obliged to cure it afterwards. To be sure, Pre
ventics will cure even a deeply seated cold, but
taken early—at the sneeze stage—they break, or
head off these early colds. That’s surely better.
That’s why they are called Preventics.
Preventicsare little Candy Cold Cures. No Quin
ine, no physic, nothing sickening. Nice for the
children—and thoroughly safe too. If you feel
chilly, if you sneeze, if you ache all over, think of
preventics. Promptness may also save half your
usual sickness. And don’t forget your child, if
there is feverishness, night or day. Herein prob
ably lies Preventics’ greatest efficiency. Sold in
5c boxes for the pocket, also in 25c boxes of 48

“Messenger” Stories.
Stories, il!u>trations and anecd jtes
are perhaps the main features of at
traction in the ‘Northern Messengc:-.”
But the stories are so carefully ch sen
that they exercise a healthy influe nee
upon the lives of old and young. Then
I there are special departments devoted
t to Temperance, the Sunday Schorl,
I and the H> me. And a section entitled
“Little Folks” is printed in extra big
type, The paper is so popular that a
vast number of Sunday Schools in
Canada and the United States are us
ing it to great advantage, insuring a
more attendance, besides extehding
their influence for gord in the hemes
of their scholars. The “Northern Mes
senger” is probably read every week
by well on to a quarter of a million
