Total receipts for Brussels
Livestock for the week ending Dec.
16 were 2,687 cattle, 1,660 lambs
and goats. On Tuesday fed steers and
heifers sold on a steady market.
Choice steers and heifers sold $115
to $122 sales to $123.75 Second cut
sold $108 to $114. Cows sold steady.
On Thursday holstein veal sold on a
steady market. Light lambs sold
higher, while heavy lambs and goats
sold $5 to $10 lower. On Friday
calves and yearlings sold on a strong
active trade.
There were 85 steers on offer.

for an average of $118.50 with two
limousin steers averaging 1,615 lbs.

steer weighing 1,625 lbs. selling to

$405; 50 - 64 lbs., $242 to $377; 65
- 79 lbs., $212 to $315; 80 - 94 lbs.,
$204 to $240; 95 - 109 lbs., $203 to
$235; 110 lbs. and over, $196 to
$221.
Sheep sold $70 to $100 with sales
to $130.
Goats: kids sold $75 to $140 to
$165 per head; nannies, $40 to $100
per head; billies, $150 to $250 per
head.
