news. This started several years ago
after the sudden death of their son. It
has worked into a time of
remembering and celebrating lives
well lived.
Family time is very important at
this time of year and for those who
miss this opportunity, it can be a
time of sadness. Work schedules,
distance, illness and death are some
of the obvious reasons for this
missing link. Like all the bumps in
life, they need to be acknowledged,
pondered, take a big breath and live
today. In some communities,
gatherings are held to help folks
cope with the sadness. Attend one
and then call a friend to share your
feelings with them. Don’t pretend,
but also don’t spread your mood.
As we live out 2011 in joy and
celebration, take time to review
what we need to do better next
year and make a plan to do just
that.
May you celebrate Christmas with
those you love, in body or mind and
may peace be yours.
Merry Christmas from Betty G.
and Ralph Watson.

McDonald, Judy Lee, Mabel
Glanville and Mary Bradshaw.
Comrades Jo-Ann and Mabel served
the meal to the family.
The Huron County Dart League
held a dart day at the Branch. The
nearly 50 men enjoyed a good day.
Comrades working for the Branch
included Bob and Monica
Richardson, Linda Bird and Lisa
Glanville. They bartended, provided
food and held a special meat draw
for the men.
The Branch had one more family
Christmas to celebrate and on
Sunday afternoon the Zwep family
gathered at the Branch for dinner.
They enjoyed a turkey dinner and an
afternoon of playing darts, games
and visiting. Comrades looking after
the final meal included Jo-Ann
McDonald, Judy Lee, Linda Bird
and Mary Bradshaw.
We understand Clarence Bishop
has been in hospital. He has been
released and we hope he is feeling
better and will be able to enjoy
the Christmas season with his
family.
Congratulations to Comrades Bob
Richardson and Monica Provost on
their marriage last week. They
honeymooned in the south for a
week and then arrived at the Branch
to work. Good show folks and
congratulations.
The Remembrance Day poster,
poem and essay winners had their
pictures taken last week and a
couple of students were absent.
Winners in the Intermediate colour
poster were: first, Toni White;
second, Cody Harding.
Congratulations to all the
participants and the winners.
The end of the year is almost upon
us and Comrades are urged to drop
by and pay their dues before the end
of December. The Branch will be
closed on Tuesday following Boxing
Day and on Monday following New
Year’s Day. Have a great holiday
season.

Fraser thanked all those who helped
in any way with the play and the
costumes. Lorna Fraser along with
her grandchildren Candice and

Candle of Love. The children sang,
“It’s a Big, Big House” as the call to
worship, along with the actions and
the video on the power point.
The speaking parts in the play
about two Bethlehem boys thinking
nothing ever happened in Bethlehem
and telling the Christmas story were
Connor Brooks and Joseph Pizzati.
The manger scene actors were
Quinton Hakkers as Joseph, Candice
Abell-Rinn as Mary and Baby Jesus
was to be Georgia Gusso but
Georgia was sick with a cold so a
doll had to be called in for duty. The

and Mikayla Ansley and Mikayla
Whitson. The shepherds were Reid
Button, Braidon Abell-Rinn, Allisonand Grace Hallahan. The threewisemen were Bryce Glousher,Brett Glousher and Jason Meier. The

Little Town of Bethlehem”, Away in
a Manger”, “We Three Kings of
Orient Are” and “Infant Holy, Infant
Lowly”. After the offering was
